I won't say im an expert in gay cinema, but being a gay man who has watched dozens of gay storylines in movies and tv shows; Eddie and Buck have the gayest "not gay" storyline and relationship I have ever seen. I showed one compilation video to a friend of mine and she was floored when I told her they weren't in a relationship in the show. This shit is frustrating.
I totally get that but we are talking about two men, from what we have seen so far be in only heterosexual relationships, if they are to make buddie happen, it wouldnt feel natural to have it happen yet or in a handful of episodes, sexuality is a very confusing thing, They need to address that for it to be authentic and they haven't really touched on that yet but I get the frustration.
Stacey I 100% agree with you. How I see it is they have the foundations for the storyline already. It’s just a matter of if they’ll build on top of that foundation or not. I think it’d be an incredibly interesting storyline to explore over the span of an entire season or more because, you’re right, making it happen in two episodes would be abrupt and ruin the whole thing. Discovering new facets of your sexually later in life after exclusively being in heterosexual relationships is something that does happen, especially in people who have repressed those feelings. If done right a storyline for these two that explores that process of rediscovering one’s self, coming to terms with these feelings, then accepting and embracing them would be something I’d love to watch. But this kind of storyline might be out of place in this show.
@@joshbrelly1It would be hard but not impossible the key is time. We get maybe 2 minutes an episode if we are lucky, of buck and eddie interacting, which is normal for an ensemble tv show. If they want to explore this it will take time. Never say never but as long as they continue down the path of two male characters being able to love one and other either platonic-ally or not is great! Toxic masculinity is still an issue and Im glad they got Eddie dealing with his emotions and not repressing them. I also love the family dynamic of Eddie, Christopher and Buck, you don't always have to share blood to be a family, you can make one and even if they do not get together, which they may or may not, I think Buck being in Christopher's life is beautiful.
I think by them slow rolling this ship, it will feel more genuine. And I think Christopher will play a more poignant role in removing the barriers they would both need to overcome to realize their more than platonic affection for one another. #buddie #wishfulthinking

Best part is the small clip with the Diaz family and Buck helping Chris open up his present. This ship needs to happen now, especially with that darn mistletoe over Buck.
After watching each episode, I immediately flock to your channel. I absolutely love these edits, they make me laugh so much!! And as a closeted 28 years old gay man, I find comfort in watching relationships like Buck and Eddie, even though it's a TV show, so thanks for keeping the Buddie hope alive :)

Every time I see Christopher ask buck that I cry a little, that poor boy!!! I’m so glad buck was able to get everyone together. It was beautiful for everyone.
So I started watching this show last December while on vacation and then it fell off my radar for a minute. I started watching again after a coworker mentioned it & nothing much to do on weekends. I'm a total fan! Def shipping those two like...really, ya'll? lol

As much as I would love for them to be together, Im not going to get my hopes up because I feel like they are not meant to be a couple. Ive seen comps of them and something I have always felt missing between them. But thats a personal opinion.

I am crying because I am now catching up on this show - for them - and so wanted to see a kiss already. Maybe have Buck linger in Eddie's eyes and feel his 'hose' down yander. Then the two can lean in for a kiss and the relationship can finally begin. But no! 9-1-1 wants to tease the piss out of us. I am all for LGBT+ rep and don't mind of two straight characters finally realize there is something between each other, but there is hot and passionate chemistry going on here. I mean...Buck looked ready to lean into Eddie. And I wanna see my man, Ryan Guzman, kiss his lips. I think we we all need it, 9-1-1. 😍😆😘 This was a funny and good mash-up.

To be honest I don't think Buck and Eddie will be in relationship in the series. Brotherhood is still important for most of men(no matter you're straight or not), and gay story line has already happened in lone star, so..... By the way there is an interview that Ryan said he think Buck and Eddie will not be together.
I would love to get involved with this show but I can't. For many years I was involved with another show and the cliffhangers were so intense it wrecked my entire Summer once. I'll just stick to the videos.
What's the betting the writers finally get them together in some series finale or promise it'll happen in the next series and then the show is cancelled? :D
