Thank you legendary horse whisper Buck Brannaman for hanging out with INTV and letting us know more about his horse classes, and what he has planned for the summer. One of the nicest well respected cowboys out there. Thank you for the interview Buck.

Horses are our relatives and should be treated and respected as family members. I'm a disabled vet, my horse brought me back from a very bad place. They are spiritual beings with the ability to heal us.

God truly out done himself when He gave us horses. They are amazing creatures and Buck really recognizes that. Buck is an impressive horseman and such a gentle, nurturing soul. That’s what makes him so interesting to watch and learn from.

A few years back I purchased the film on CD "Buck". I was very impressed with your approach, and gentling or starting horses to teach the human essentially how to communicate as well as possible with his equine. Your story touched me in a deep way because I too was abused, but verbally most of my life my my mother. I was not only her victim, but my dear sweet dad. Both are in heaven now. Curiously I have found that many who rescue were also abused. I too have found a peaceful path in life to not only help humans, but have done dog rescue for some years. I also used Facebook to encourage, and occasionally share scripture to bless others who are hurting, and recovering. It has blessed me to have both Christians, and non believers of faith that I can touch their lives in a positive way. God Bless you real good Buck for what you do with humans, and animals. I can tell you are a kind soul, and I aspire to be that way too. I never wish to harm any of God's creatures. Sometimes we are hardest on ourselves. We do what we can to give back, and elleviate our own pains and count us both survivors. It is never my intention to harm another living creature. So pleased, and honored by what you do in life. Birds of a feather. LOL! God Bless you sir!

The HORSE is the overlooked neglected hero of history. The horse has always been more than a source of transportation. Hollywood depicts them as a means to get around, but to old time cowboys they understood the horse was their partner, survival, source of income and many more things.

Humans have been eating horses for 10 000 years before doing something more interesting with them... No judgement, just reminding !

OMGoodness!! I found this amazing hour and a half show on T. V. last night! I couldn't take my eyes away, for a second! What an amazing story. Sorry that you (and your brother) had to go thru what you did as a child. You surely turned out to be one fabulous, caring, compassionate man! Thanks for sharing your story. I am sure your story has been very helpful, to many people. God Bless you and your family XO :)

The horse is annoyed with the reporter.... its obvious...... don't know his name... but the horse has had enough of the situation and the reporter.... he is very clear... and, Buck, comforts him.... horses are great..... they always tell the truth...... this is fantastic..... the horse turns around, and is saying, "Enough.....!" Horses are patient , so, this one is very clear...... I love this.......

Love to have someone like Buck as a guide. I'm taking care of an ex rodeo mount QH Palo mare that is an abuse case. Between owners 2 through 5 this mare has been through the mill in her 20+ years. I've described her as a bomb with a smoldering lit short fuse. There are days when she's very sweet and the just as fast her hooves are flying in every direction.

For anyone who hasn't seen one of Buck's Clinics or read one of his books or seen the documentary "Buck", this interview is only a small tasting of what there is for you to discover. _"Buck is the real deal - the genuine article"_ -Robert Redford For newcomers who don't already know, Redford based his character in the movie "Horse Wisperer" on Buck. Buck himself was an extra a doubled for Redford in a few stunts. Buck's horse even doubled for the injured horse in one scene when they couldn't get the horse to do a certain thing for the camera. After serveral tries and a lot of wasted time, Buck said he thought he could get his horse to do the stunt. Redford who was also the director said, "Really, how much time would you need?" He was expecting an answer of something in the neighborhood of two or three days. Buck said give him ten minutes to get the horse out of the trailer and he'd give it a try. 20 minutes later they had the shot they wanted with Bucks horse as a stand in.

3:10 Just like Buck, failure comes with any profession. Even a 3-point shooter misses a 3-point shot. 50+ homeruns a season, and still strikes out. A A-student can fail an exam. Failure is common, how you recover is what makes your successes. This applies to everyone.

The Horse Whisperer was a nice title but a crappy Hollywood movie trying to be Epic because it was nearly three hours. The core is buck and thankfully that life has a more eternal truth to it.

I so love this man with horses but I find it incongruous that he talks of being kind and understand 'all creatures' and then ropes cattle and is proud of his daughter for roping cattle; chasing them and running them down and terrifying them for entertainment.

It's a cultural thing, like what the Mongolians do belting their horses, or the Argies roughhousing their polo horses, or the Africans beating their donkeys...

Its this kind of thinking that is unable to differentiate between different animals. Do you know why no matter how domesticated cattle never let you ride them?
