Buck Knives 110 Automatic Back Lock Folder Overview 

The way to return the knife, the "proper" way to act... Is to paste flyers in the area, give your phone number and ask people to describe what they lost. To just keep it because you don't know how to return it is wrong.

@paulhomsy2751 We did make a post on FB in our area. I also told all the local wholesale that sold knives about what happened and left my number. No one ever contacted me. I'm only going to go so far to return lost property. If the value of it was much higher, I would just take it to police station.

I am sure that Buck will take care of you via warranty if need be. You might try to clean/lubricate the pivot area.

I know this is late but why do people go straight to warranty over simple things. Oil it and work it, clean, oil again. Manufacturing dust grts trapped in the pivot.

They used steel because it’s the actual closed lock and needs to be hard and strong to not wear out.

@@gerrynightingale9045 MN ss609.66 You can't own a automatic knife in Minnesota. You can't even have it in your sock drawer. The courts in Minnesota have ruled on this over and over. The interpretation of the law is that it is illegal to own. You might not think it's right/constitutional/whatever, but it will get taken away from you and you will have a court date. (As a side note, about 20 years ago I knew a guy that had one arm. He carried a automatic knife. We were sitting in a family restaurant and he was showing it to me when the cops walked in. (I knew the cops, they were regulars). All the cops passed the knife around and played with it. Eventually they gave it back to him. No one said a word about legality. No one cared. Everyone knew he had it because it was easier for him. Granted, the cops in my city are notoriously cool about things. So, it really makes a difference about how you act. If you act like a moron, you will get treated like one. Edit: An automatic knife is a huge novelty in Minnesota. We are all taught from a young age that they are a big no-no. )
