I recently sent 2 knives to @BuckKnives for repairs under forever warranty , a blade replacement and spa treatments! I received these knives back ! Sit down grab yourself a coffee and let’s chat about the results!
I’ve wondered the exact same thing about sending knives back to buck for repair. I called them and explained to them how I received the knives and offered to pay for the repairs. it was 3 knives buck no longer makes. The lady I spoke to was pretty awesome and explained to me what was covered and what wasn’t, no matter who was the original purchaser of the knife. I was shocked by how strong they stand behind their warranty. Anyway I really enjoy your videos, thanks for the content.
Awesome! Those are great! They look like new! I just bought a 110 on our camping trip with a broke blade for $10. I mailed it in and sent 15.00( I wasn’t sure what steel type it was) and they emailed me saying they received it and I overpaid 5.00 so they are sending me a free sheath with it for the overpayment. Can’t beat that! Can’t wait to get it back and see how it turns out. It was like yours a late 80’s model someone broke. I was going to use it for a parts knife but thought I’d send it in to see if they’d fix it. I’m like you I couldn’t lie and claim it as a warranty. That’s why I mailed a check in with it. Send it on. Cheapest and best fix for it! Take it easy buddy.
Buck really does an excellent job, and those knives look brand new. Thanks for sharing them brother. Have a blessed evening. If it was me brother and I had feelings of it being dishonest, I would pay to have the blade replaced, and do the spa treatment myself. There's always that little thought that tells you to do the full facelift, but you obviously have the other side of conscience telling you what's the right thing to do.
Another awesome video brother Mike!!!!! Man I can't believe those 2 Buck knives, wow!!!!!! Really glad they turned out great 👍 Yall have a wonderful evening and GOD bless
Buck really took care of you!! If you plan on keeping the one you got from eBay I’d say send it in!! Thanks for the shout out as well, have a great weekend!!
Buck always had a great warranty. Back in the late 90’s I purchase a buck strider 880 from buck knives the liner lock would disengage when using it. Sent it back to buck for repair and they sent me out a brand new one no problem . Buck also put a new blade and reconditioned the entire knife on a buck duke my father gave me recently for $10 bucks . Buck discontinued the duke so I’m glad they reconditioned the old one I sent back like new 👍🏻👍🏻Buck is one of the very few knife companies that actually stand 100% behind the knives they sell. I know that im going to get some people upset with this comment but that’s why I like and buy Benchmade knives even though the prices are high Benchmade warranty is phenomenal.
Buck's warranty and service is awesome! I sent a 55 in for re-blade and spa treatment. They did a great job! I think you should not feel bad about sending it in. Doesn't the warranty goes with the knife whoever owns it? If you don't feel right about it, ask Buck what their policy is for this.. or just pay the fees. Great video Cornbread! LOL.. yes, just ask Terry or Jerry what that means... oh my... that's funny!
Great video. I think it is okay to use the forever warranty even if not the original owner. Like you said you still have to pay for the blade replacement. My understanding is that Buck actually says in the warranty "That you do not have to be the original owner." they will stand behind the knife. Your two knives came out AMAZING and yes I yelled that at you. Just wanted to make sure you knew how I felt about these beautiful knives. Have a great day and God Bless.
Thanks Stan!!! I appreciate that buddy! The Forever warranty is right there with a company like Henry! 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed! It’s nice to see that there are still some American companies who hold themselves to a higher standard! 🇺🇸👊🏻👍🏼
Those came back looking like show pieces brother! They did an excellent job on them. Congrats bud! Excellent video my friend. I have an old Buck 505 that my sister-n-law gave me along time ago. It was part of a gift set she received from the district union she worked for. The bolsters have some pitting in them from being dropped i would imagine. I am thinking about getting the spa treatment done on it and have the blade sharpened. You folks have a wonderful day brother. God Bless
Those are very nice.. my nephews live just a few minutes from the buck factory in Idaho. When visiting them I went to buck knives and I got the “them some stand up people rite there” vibe rite off. I loaded up boy 😁👍. I will say that buck is proud of there product and they probably don’t care how or why buddy. They’ll just help you out and hook it up so is you can keep truckin. Great vidjah man 😂
I sent in a 112 for a spa treatment, blade replacement or sharpen at their discretion. $6.95. I have a 500 “Duke” in for Scales, and Blade, replacement. $25 .Both times told them I was NOT the original owner. They said it was Okay.
I suspect that the benefit of happy customers outweighs any loss Buck may incur. This video will be seen by hundreds, maybe even more. Good investment for you and for Buck.
I always find it interesting when people say to not send them in for a reblade. The argument is you ruin its collector value when you change the blade. My thoughts are that Buck has made so many of most of their models that losing Collector value is not much of an incentive to keep a busted knife. I have never used their warranty. I pay the 16.95 when I need a reblade and spa day.
Yeah, don’t nobody feel ashamed about sending one in for warranty. They probably write all of this off under their “advertising” budget or something anyway. Think about it; what better way to get to know your customers, and to assure that they will stay customers for good! I bought a new 112 last Fall; it arrived with a structural defect. I called up Buck customer service & explained the problem, even emailed pix to them. They sent me a postage prepaid label to return it. Couple weeks later, a brand spanking new one arrived at my mailbox, no extra charge, NO Questions Asked. Buck considers us as family, and they take care of their kinfolk!
I’m not saying to not pay Buck; shoot, It’s only $10 for a new blade & SPA! But, if someone has a legitimate gripe about the blade not holding up, then have the discussion with Buck customer service. I bet they’ll do it for the customer for free!
forever warranty, buck knives are boss and so is their warranty. I bought a 110 in 98, broke the tip in 04, sent it in last year and they replaced the blade and cleaned it up for 10.00 bucks,no pun intended LOL.
I’ve never used the forever warranty until now! The way they do business, puts them in the elite category with companies like Henry! No questions asked , courteous and 100% customer satisfaction!!!🇺🇸
yassir !!! for- ever wrty shud b taken advantage of , just think of how many that will never git wrty , so just do it , i heard you say easley , dat b SC ? hollering at you from heath springs sc !!! YEE YEE !!!
Cornbread, just be upfront with them. Tell them you bought the knife used off someone, don't have to say eBay, and they may will probably still cover it. Heck Tasco scopes back in the 70's or 80's had warranties like that. Didn't matter as long as it was a Tasco as to who was the original owner. Just my opinion.
New Sub, Hillbilly sent me. I’d say send it in. Didn’t you say you got one you just showed second hand so no different. Now if it were me and I had another like you stated I would see if I could pay for the blade and get the drop point one installed. Then I’d have 2 different knives. I like a drop point though and you may not? Great video and now I have some catching up to do on your channel.
I don’t know if they will or not but I would ask if it’s something you’re interested in. Know recently they been doing a bunch in drop point I see in the email I subscribe to.
Buck done you right…. On the “forever warranty” question, I’m the same way. I look at it like this, $10 worth a thorn in my side of guilty conscience…. Nope!!!!!!. They done you right return the deed….. If you bought it originally? Use the warranty…. We ain’t the only ones watching 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻. No what I mean??
In The Lord Mike, I say as a Fellow brother in Christ Jesus, do whatever you felt lead to do or not. If you have the Peace of Christ Jesus in it then send it in brother, if you do not then for conscience sake do not. I think both sides of the way that you are thinking are right and not that the other side is wrong because I don’t need it’s necessarily wrong, it about your Heart and Conscience as a Born Again believer in Christ Jesus. I think if you Do or Don’t you are not wrong or right, it’s what is The Spirit leading you to do or not, and then trust and believe in that conviction in Christ Jesus.
Also, did you ask if you should abuse their service and then thank them as if they're watching? 😂 You could just ask them how to send it. Always do fair business with those who do fair business with you. If they cheat you, all bets are off.
