Hey guys, welcome back to KnifeHog.com! Addison here and today I’ll be reviewing a knife that is sure to become a favorite among avid outdoorsman: the Buck Silver Creek Folding Fillet knife.
Typically, fillet knives come in a fixed blade form and include a sheath. As an attempt to break this trend, Buck has developed a folding fillet knife! With an overall length of 13 ¾” and a blade measuring 6 ½”, the Silver Creek is the ideal fillet knife. The blade of this knife is constructed of 420J2 stainless steel and has been coated with a Titanium Nitride material which makes this knife perfect for cleaning and filleting fish. This knife’s blade is extremely sharp and able to take a very fine edge, making it perfect for filleting a variety of fish. The Silver Creek’s handle is composed of a thermoplastic overmold that provides you with an excellent, non slip grip, making it easy for you to hold onto the knife in just about any wet environment. This knife also comes with a lanyard for added security while you are traveling with it.
Overall, the Buck Silver Creek is the ideal fillet knife. Its large size, compact folding ability and tough as nails blade make this the knife you would want to take with you on your next fishing excursion. There’s not one bad thing I have to say about this knife and highly recommend it to those of you who are looking for a heavy duty, yet compact, fillet knife.
