Glad you enjoyed it, Kathy! Simple subjects are often the most fun and surprisingly successful

So easy once you know! Many thanks, Deb, such a seasonal subject.

I should have given some examples of paintings using skippers in foliage or flowers - it's easy and effective for landscapes, too.

Hi Deb do you have a video on underpainting? Cheers Michelle.

Hi Michelle, no not on just underpainting. I often start painting with a very light wash of the colors (an underpainting) just to see if I think the colors and composition will work but it seems to confuse students. I did it step by step with the door video and that's been my most popular so far.

If you had only 30 minutes a day for art would you use watercolour or any other medium? Im into gouache oils pastels besides watercolours. I feel i need atleast 1hr for watercolour because i need to plan a lot before watercolour

I think watercolors are very quick and always ready to go, but they do take a bit of planning when you're working light to dark. You can combine watercolors with your pastels - use the pastels to add back the light areas that may have been lost. That would let you work much faster and without planning ahead.
