This is the best explanation I've ever seen surrounding trauma, stress and their release. I'll likely steal and and use this, Ulf. 🙂 wow

This is so much closer to what I share with my clients than any of those other 'bucket stories' but, dare I say it, yours is better because of the beautifully simple way you draw it out. Brilliant! Well done and thank you. I shall be using this with my mid life reinvention clients from now on!

That is a great video explaining the stress bucket and how our stress and trauma even before our birth fills up our bucket. It would be great if sleep was enough to empty our bucket. But is it not so, the more we are stress and traumatised the more difficult it is to sleep? Our bodies are capable if we allow them to empty the buckets themselves even without drugs, talking or touching and despite insomnia.

Precisely so, and thanks. :)

Fantastic video! The way I have been taught the Stress Bucket is that the holes in the bucket are coping mechanisms we use to release stress. In your video the 'hole' is sleep. Just curious as to whether you agree with these other holes, or if the primary release should be sleep?

Good point. The tap that emptirs the bucket is any sum of interventions, sleep is a primary one. Social interaction, nutrition, exercise and play are others. The metaphor of a tap is something you can adjust, increase and control. :)

Thanks Paul, my background is working with First Aid for stress and trauma with survivors of the genocide in Rwanda using a method called Trauma Tapping Technique - I have added coaching of athletes and mental training & recovery for people in general to this - I coach clients both therapeutically and in career aspects.

That, my dear Bailey, is a very strange comment to leave anywhere. Your clarification is more welcome. I am happy to find areas for improvement.
