This is probably the best song in the world, not even, the best idea/sound, everything its all compiled in one, nobody can ever cover this song, the unique licks and funky tunes and how its diverse and switches every couple minutes is genius and is a adventure in a song, its fucking nutss
i love how all this guys stuff is free of vocals. it lets you focus completely on the guitar work. all the little things you'd never notice if there was a guy yelling along with it
Buckethead is immortal. He was Jango Fett's father and also single handedly defeated the British at the request of William Wallace. It is said he was forged from magma pressurized miles below the ocean surface and that he bleeds diamonds and gold. If he were to remove his mask, anyone and anything within 50 miles would be vaporized and simultaneously erased from history.
If you are wondering if this is true or not you can't fact check because the people who can tell you are all deleted from existence. So it must be true
Did they write this music beforehand, or was most of it an improvised jam? It has a spontaneous feel to it but in a good way. My favorite track of the album.
Not everyone hangs out with 15 year old kids playing Guitar Hero all day :P I don't care when you started listening to Bucket, I'm happy to have you with us.
Makes sense. Jordan has been a VERY popular guitar hero 2 song. Before I started playing that game, heck before I even liked it, I heard people talking about Jordan all the time. But I guess that might depend on where you live. I'm in a small town with only about 2k people, so everybody knows each other. That, and almost everybody around here does nothing but play games 24/7. I'm more of an athlete, (just look at my tricking playlist lol, tricking FTW!) but I couldn't help but here about Jordan.
In 2007 Buckethead released solo and with others : Peppers Ghost, Acoustic Shards, Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot, Cyborg Slunks, ISOT (13 albums),Buckethead Blueprints, DCK, Monolith, Kevin's Noodle House, Chicken Noodles II, Tenessee 2004, Lightyears, but that only equals to like 24 albums, im not sure of the others.
exactly i feel it gives a false image towards guitarists and that it makes it look like its easier to play guitar than it really is, but its what got me into real guitar and made me like rock so i love it for that
@TheSpawnofSkynyrd Derp.. Buckethead is most likely the best musician any of us will live to see. He might not be legend now. But once the crisis in the music industry one day ends, people will find his music. People always argue about who is better and whaddada, but if you just got a slight bit of musicality in your body and brain, you can easily hear that Buckethead is the fucking king. I mean, some of his work is just universal, trancends mere music and becomes pure art.
When he finished, the band applauded raucously. He was "sweet and normal", but they wanted someone "...who could also kick a groove." Says the bassist for red hot chili peppers
@maggotaac That is the true reason he doesn't take off his mask and bucket, when the current BucketHead dies another with epic skillz can take them up and continue the legend.
@igrubb83 he doesnt want people judging him...it makes it easier for him to lead a normal life cause all he has to do is remove the costume and it removes the pressure from having to be criticized by the public. Word also has it that he's kinda shy
btw ozzy osbourne wanted BH to play for them on tour but BH refused to take off his mask and bucket, that woz the only conditions and we wudnt do it, thats why he is my favourite guitarist, coz he passes off huge oppurtunities rather than change what he is :)
You're right, I was replying to some guy who was saying guitar hero was gay or something. It might be fake and poserish, but it is what ultimately got me so interested in guitar. I feels its done a lot for music.
@1234gnrslash You right about the guitarist i mentioned, they all play fast''.. And your totally right about ''more to life than shredding..''But shredding was definitely not what impressed me when i first heard buckethead...A friend of mine (drummer) told me that i have to listen to buckethead,'' He were partying and he put the CD 'colma' on for me..And It blew me away,'' simple acoustic guitar riffs (nylon string) that were made so pretty..There is one fast thing he does called Big sur moon
@TheSpawnofSkynyrd I felt the same way about (bucketheads) apperance.. I thought,'' whats up with this shit? A drummer i jammed with kept telling about how great this guitarist (buckethead) is in 2000 i think? He put on CD ''colma'' first and it was the best thing i possibly could hear at that time..Totally different..And a necessary style, No other rock guitarist id heard played like that, Jeff beck has some styles that are similar, But none of them have the same euphoria buckethead gives..
@1234gnrslash That's cool dude! Yeah he's (kotzen) been playing blue's more from what i see lately and singing..Which i wasn't too happy with, cause he was more ''metal fusion'' before..And he did it well,''But he does make a great front man and chic's dig him..He recorded one song for this album ''guitar world magazine put out back in 91 called ''guitar that rule the world''? I heard he recorded the guitars in his bedroom standing in front of a mirror nude at 3.00 AM with his women all over.
HAHAH :) i dressed up as buckethead for my school funrun =D one of the best days ever.. 'specially since i had to get the KFC bucket from somewhere.... ;D
@dimebag2021 It was in an interview with ozzy osbourne, ozzy said that they tried out a guy called buckethead. He was amazing and they said they wanted him if he took off the bucket and mask. He refused so they chose Zak Wylde instead.
