Buckethead live at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival October 1, 2011 on the Tower of Power stage. WHOLE SHOW except difficulties during the toy handout when the mosh pit got rowdy.
Every time I listen to the solo in "The Embalmer" its like I leave the planet earth for a little while and just let the music take over. Thank you Buckethead for providing us with such beautiful music!
One of the possibly best performances of Soothsayer of all time! Timing on point, wah on point, licks on point and the dude has to fucking cut off due to timetable. What a shame.
Thank you very much for sharing this incredible concert. the execution of the instrument of my super hero Buc kethead will always be impeccable. The doll that your friend or partner is wearing is also incredible,. I will continue to support your channel as well. I send you a big greeting from this quarantine. We will soon enjoy live concerts. Thank you
This was an amazing show to be at full of whiskey and after listening to a fill of bluegrass all day. I hope there is a crowd shot in this video, it was ridiculous
I'm trying to arrange private lessons with Buckethead's left pinky, which knows more guitar than I'll know in a lifetime of study. I love this guy. Love how he just nonchalantly starts things up going into such a kickass riff. What a ridiculously talented and exciting performer to watch. Buckethead is one of the most talented modern musicians I've seen. Only problem with this performance is the absence of the word "Funeral" across his KFC bucket -- one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
There's only one picture on the internet of Brian Carrol and yeah he does look fine. It's a picture of an old newspaper referencing him as a local guitarist.
The backing drums and such are on his mp3 player. He does have a drummer but for smaller festivals like that i suspect he tours by himself with one roadie to help him carry his stuff.
Where was this festival, can anyone tell me? Huge crowd! I wonder if the crowd for Buckethead was bigger than the other crowds? If not, it should have been.
i love this killswitch use, how spend a killsitch 4 my ibanez321ex ? :) killswitch pedal on ground su*! and the psy cord sound at min. 2:32 awesome great hard to play that hurts for long time :) !
Esse show foi bem broxante mesmo, só quem é fanboy mesmo talvez goste. Pra quem não conhece nada dele esse vídeo é péssimo pra mostrar o artista. Ele só tocou música bizarra
+Doktor Jekyll van Hyde omg I've been searching for the name of this effect for months until I discovered what it was a few days ago. I watched this video before but I never read the comments.
why would he do that NOW?? have you ANY idea how long it takes to establish yourself as an ARTIST/MUSICIAN/ACT????? he HAS established himself as ALL of the above... why would he introduce complications to his act NOW???
I'm just saying add some live musicians to play the backing tracks thats all I'm saying i wouldn't go to a show if it was just a guitarist playing to backing tracks i can do that at home by myself
vballmusicGod You go to Buckethead shows because you want to see him playing, you don't really care about anything else than the guitar because HE is who makes the show. There's videos of lives where he had a band, it doesn't change anything.
maybe you only go to a bucket head show to see bucket head, but the part where you said playing with live bandmates doesn't make a difference is totally wrong. Im saying that bandmates would compliment his playing better than a backing track and maybe make the show more enjoyable for someone who isn't a die hard guitarist.
Setlist Night of the Slunk Crash Victim The Embalmer Meta Matic Gory Head Stump Nunchucks/Dance/Toy Trading Bass Improv Jordan Pure Imagination/When You Wish Upon A Star Soothsayer - I think Gory Head Stump may be your answer (or Meta Matic) if it's right before Nunchucks ..
Is there anything more anti-climactic than some guy coming out after Buckethead has just finished a tremendous performance and trying to address the crowd? No one-and nothing-should ever try to follow Buckethead. Ever. Period.
One thing, i don´t like is his Bucket and his mask... okey, maybe this is one reason, that makes him special, in the internet there are enough pictures of him without mask, and he looks really okey?! why?!
You know why he's emotional guy? If you follow about his life its very depressing, alone and lonely, its very sad but deep down it seems beautiful since he just do what he think he have to do. He never married, probably never had sex too I guess, he ever explains in interview in 2017 which you can find on youtube, he explain that he suffered from social anxiety, heart condition, plus losing both his parent and currently still battle with psychotherapist. The fear making eye contact, socially awkward and fear of crowd which the reason he wearing mask to battle his anxiety on stage. But he can success due to his passion on hobby and music which make he one of the great guitarist out there. I suggest you to listen to all his music, that explains everything about his life. The most mysterious guitarist American ever had and the only guitarist who make more than 300 studio album.
bucket killed.i cant believe i didnt discover this dude before a year ago.my favorite guitarist, hands down.btw, awesome spot at 24:49,i laughed my ass off.did you at least get a toy?
that's one reason I rarely go to these kind of concerts. Fucking dipshits ruining stuff for everyone else. People like that are just so retarded; how do you not get that that is fucking annoying?
@Phy - "Technical Difficulties" is when during the Mosh Pit and people getting pushy during the Toy Handout, some drunk guy got all pushy on me and grabbed my camera...so I slammed him into the barricade and beat on his face. You can hear my first punch land right before the TD break :)
I love the dude screaming the entire show. He's so funny. And besides, its an outdoor rock show, SCREAM ALL YOU WANT!!! You want pristine soundboard audio of the show with all the crowd noise edited out? Buy it.
Rowdy sweep at 5:20. Thank you for the post. I saw him two nights ago in Austin. Best day of my life. Front row (even after driving from San Antonio through traffic), got a toy, and got to touch his guitar. It was too much awesomeness. I cried when he came out.
Gosh, maybe it's just the garbs, but Buckethead seems rather humanized now, demystified in a sense.... Aw, but who's complaining!? I'm just so happy he's back on his feet!
anyone know why that dude constantly walks across the stage doing what looks like nothing but distracting the audience? I know that guy is bucket's right-hand man so to speak, but he is very annoying. He does that in pretty much all of bucket's shows.
That's P-Sticks , and he is actually doing more than simply distracting you. My gut tells me that his constant interaction with Bucket and wandering about the stage, that he's a sound engineer/guitar tech/as well as his friend..I could be wrong though 🤨
Well, for one thing, he figured that the crazy he likes to play would make more sense if he had a crazy character to go along. And most of the pictures are fake btw
That's P-Sticks Buckethead's roadie and tech...he doing that to make sure the show runs smoothly and to make sure there is nothing on the stage that Buckethead can trip over or anything like that since he is wearing a mask and can't see too well especially when it's dark :)
