It's off a software disk that came with a guitar magazine waaaaay back in the day. I used to be the owner. It had a bunch of tabs you had to look at while he played.
The difference is; Slash plays the same solo in everysong, both live and studio. Buckethead will give you a different solo in every concert, and in every song.

@@Cephlapodninja possible, you just don't think about singular notes but about sequences, that's what any shredder does, do you really think they think about every note they play? They think more so about phrases than singular notes.

Love Buckethead. It's awesome how he's one of the very few guitarists who knows how to correctly use a killswitch to make whatever he's playing sound amazing.

I love the second one so much. Chromatic runs with octave displacement; it's like two whole tone scales a half-step apart colliding. I keep wishing I could do hybrid picking like that... perhaps it's time to start? Rome wasn't built in a day, they say, but Buckethead can shred out the six-string blueprints in an hour.
Same here. I saw this vid a few months after I had just started playing. It made me want to quit. Luckily I stuck with it. Still, 5 years later I still see this and want to just say fuck it.
No one else on this planet comes close ,this style is so unique and almost impossible to follow,, shred king indeed and musical beyond belief is Buckethead!

it might seem intimidating at first :D but its really not that hard, ive been studying buckethead for months and the 3 and 4 finger tapping isnt that hard :D just keep practicing 1 hour each day you will catch on
I am training it for 2 weeks and i can handle the 6 finger nupping but this 8 finger nupping is extrimly hard. Sry for my englisch. Im 13 and im practising 1 hour per day. Its not that hard
two things. this video leads me to believe that buckethead is really funny and has a good sense of humor, and is therefore probably a very happy person. which makes me very happy, also, the fucking end made me herp all over my derp.
Hate people who say he is just a shredder who plays with no emotion or soul, obviously these people have not done their research to make such statements. Try listening to his albums colma, or electric tears, then pass your judgment on him. He's a very diverse guitarist and one of my favorites of all time. You must experience it live!

As an avid guitar nut of over 40yrs ive avoided listening to guys like this period and i will apologise im a big becker moore cooley and halen fan and this guy can sit with any of them a very awesome axeman.
The awesome thing about Buckethead is that when he wants feeling he plays it. When he wants Buckety-goodness he also plays it. Then he plays a mix of the two I explode.

yes he works hard, but man come on people are born with the ability to become this good.. i think you're either born with it or youre not but of course hard work and dedication plays a big part too
