I just wanna say how cool it is to see you guys talking about how you keep coming back to this video. I think there's something real magical about this performance, even with all the much better quality videos that are around now, and I'm real happy thinking that I helped buckethead win over some fans by putting it up here.
This was one of the first videos i binged on buckethead and ive continued to hunt for all of his different live stuff for over 10 years but this is still one of my favourite renditions of this song; you're right about there bein something magical about this performance. I think this show in general he was on fire, as I think its the same one as his awesome version of Whitewash aswell?
Guy thanks bucket head for coming along with a big applause and in return buckethead absorb all that positive energy and gave them a moment to remember with the best Nottingham lace live performance anyone has ever seen. Legendary. Need to thank the b.h. more.
I've never thought I'd ever have THE ONE and only favorite guitar solo of all time. Too many of them. But yeah, this is it! Nothing beats this version of Nottingham Lace. I feel complete :)
Dude I love this song and sólo too! One of the best songs ever made. Always I listen this song, then I hear “ Corte porteño” by Walter giardino ( I strongly recommend you to listen it. Then you tell me what you think). I know no other song and solo to play along after this one.
I can't believe this video is 17 years old.... I watched this just a few days after it was first posted back when I was 13 years old. My friend had downloaded it and was listening to it on his MP3 player at school and he put his left earphone in my right ear and told me to listen to it. That was the first time I heard a Buckethead song. The second time was on Guitar Hero 2 a few months later. Ever since then I have been in love with his music. :)
I bet that guy screaming "buckethead Ty for coming" had no idea how epic this song/video would become. Rock on BH!!!! I'm a successful white guy with conservative friends and when I tell them BH is one of my favorite artist they think I'm crazy. They along with many others have no idea or can comprehend his talent. The best shredder with soul EVER!! Ty for giving me energy on those 12-15 hour work days! In a non gay way, I love you buckethead ;) Ty Ty Ty
Push on thru the first two minutes ... I never heard of Buckethead until today. Now my lady will have to axe thru the mains cables to get me off the screen. This man found the language I was born with but never learned to use. I cry whenever I watch this . . .
You know... I play guitar since 13 years. And I started because of Buckethead (and the "Untitled Song" ). Even if i'm in Stoner and Doom stuff right now, I'm still really thankful for what B-Head brings to me. I wanted to start guitar after listen to him in Guitar Hero 2, with Jordan song. I knew at this moment that the guitar will be "this stuff" which one bring me happiness. And after 13 years, It's always such a great time to hear Buckethead stuff. He know exactly how he has to play at the right moment. He's not just a good guitarist, he's a great musician. I totally respect that.
This song completely changed the way I see music, few other songs have had such an impact on my view of music and how I play and perceive it. This is the song that convinced me to start playing guitar. It may be a strange choice and I may be the only one in the world who thinks this way about this song, but if not for this song I wouldn't be in the same musical place I am now. No other guitar shredder has connected with me the way buckethead has and for that all i can say is thank you
I am a old school R&R , grew up in New Orleans East. The Warehouse was the place to be for all the greats . Jimmy Page, FRANK ZAPPA, STEVE MARRIOTT, MY POINT is I never heard of Sir.Bucket Head until he blew the doors off the H.O. B. in Down Town N.O. Bucket Head is one of the best I have ever seen , Gifted Guitarist. Hey Bucket, be Strange, but don't be a Stranger, please come back, To Daze and confuse us
This is my favourite buckethead video ever alongside with the whitewash live video. This video is the perfect experience if you want to introduce someone into his music
buckethead is a legend that no one has berely ever heard of and people who know him love him we need to let out the word there is a legend among us. like this if you agree
haha love how he acts all scared at the beginning when people cheer and then he busts out that masterpiece. bless him, he has more emotion then many many guitarists out there (and does this with the mask and bucket). no other guitarist captivates me like the big B.
The audience, for the first 3 and a half minutes: DO A SOLO, DO A SOLO! Buckethead: Hang on, I'm going to jam out a bit before I totally blow your minds.
Oh my.. when i heard this back when i used to listen to rock (when this video was uploaded i loved it) havent heard it in so long and damn shits still good.
@BucketheadWraith You could always try and send him a letter. Tell him if he doesn't come a lot of chickens will lose there lifes or something. I am surprised he doesn't tour Australia it would be on the top of my list for sure.
the best means that you compare one to some other, that some others opinion might be more signifficant, but MR. BUCKETHEAD'S lowest attempt at anything would blow everyone's little minds. His lack of ego just kicks butt that's all.
it's amazing how simple this video sounds, and how poor the sound quality is "supposed" to be, yet buckethead shows his epicness by playing one of his best live solos (in my opinion) in a small club somewhere.
@wellbourne1 Rock guitarist today don't have songs that sound like buckethead, The bottem line is there are many guitarist who shred and play with feel and emotion, But none of them seem hit the core of human sole like buckethead,' Buckethead will be the one still standing in the end..
@kimbotube59 That's not him. Bucket is Brian Carroll, the guy from Limp Biskit is Wes Borland, who later started Big Dumb Face. And Bucket and Wes do their respective stage things... because they can.
Favorite Buckethead song ever!! I want to see him perform live this summer so badly!!!! *-* By the way, is it me or does the sound sometimes not match up with the video? I've watched this video over and over and it seems to me that the chords he plays don't match up with the sound that's produced (at least by a few seconds, which isn't bad), and it's only in a few parts. Bukcethead is a GOD!!!
Have you guys ever watched Matrix I, the part where Neo realizes he doesn't need to dodge bullets because he can stop them using his hands only? I find it very similar to Buckethead at 3:55 ... like "Hey, I don't need to pick this thing... I can play it using one hand only!" :-D
3:48 I cannot emphasize how fast that lick is, im a big Bucket fan and got that signature lick pretty dialed in, you can see it in my botnus cover. decided to make a cover of this live version and just could not keep up with the tempo. never realized that it was so freaking fast its mindblowing, i think its the fastest and cleanest signature lick he has played period. early 90s maybe he played faster with his ESP guitar but just not as clean as that. that part got my mind blown and my fingers too 😂 challenge you to find a faster lick than that(maybe project little man solo😳)
i put this video on my facebook and got no likes or comments on it, but as soon as i put a lil wayne video up people start liking and commenting on it. what a shame but also makes me think why the fuck am i even looking at a lil wayne video. someone pinch me lol. buckethead we all adore you and the ones that dont are just haters or slash fans. keep playing for the love of music and not the fame. thats how it should be
