Nice looking bumper package. I have a '95 4WD Suburban and went the same route, but I built mine from scratch. I also have rear cargo doors like your Excursion, and I fabbed a single swing arm instead for a 33" tire and also a jerry can. Couldn't find any pre-built packages for my particular Suburban so had no choice but to build one. That Buckstop kit looks pretty sweet.

Thank you. It seemed to be easier, I didn't have to stop working on the install to talk about what was going on. Just take care of all that when editing the video, I definitely will use the format for future install video. I added a link in the description for the mic I used, $25 on amazon

@@4X4Carpool cool! that's exactly why I was thinking of getting a mic: streamlining the video process and only actually talking with the camera if it's an important detail or to show the final result.

I strap mine to my spare tire carrier so they are only on the truck when I am headed into the mountains. High altitude UV rays will kill them if you leave them on daily.

I'm trying to figure out how to strap mine to the spare tire, with some kind of cover. Kind of considering the Blue Ridge Overland Gear bag, maybe

I thought the sensors were bad on mine, turned out to just be the speaker. Throw it in reverse with the e brake set and put your ear to the sensor, they'll be clicking if there working.

I also have an Ex that I want to put this bumper on. Do you see any restriction in the barn doors opening?

No restrictions, Buckstop did a great job putting this bumper together. I know some guys have removed the barn door catch so that the doors can open 180 degrees. If you have removed the catch then you will want to put that back on. The bumper is designed so that the barn doors can open like it came from the factory.

How hard is it to get the bolts back in ? i don't see how to get them back in without moving the gas tank down

It’s very easy! The bumper connects the very end of the frame, no need to remove the fuel tank.

Where do you off road? I have an excursion as well, do you find that at times it is too wide for the Jeep trails?

For now, we are doing a lot of trails in Southern California. The only way to deal with the size of the EX is to completely accept scratches and pinstripes from plants. But if body damage is likely, I will find another way. Picking really good lines is key. I’ve only wheeled a large vehicle so I don’t know anything different, my previous build was an e-series Ford van.

Did your bumper come with a Reunel decal on either side? Mine was an “improved” version with an updated swing arm (but without lift points?), but I was thrown off by the old name. Also, what’s your wheel/tire size?

Mine did not come with the stickers. As far as i know its the same company.

Wheels are 17x9, tires are 315 70 17. But I am changing to 35 12.5 17 soon, with the same wheels.
