I just found your channel yesterday. I am happy to find someone who can explain the reasoning behind the design of a fly. I have only tied flies as a hobby. I can't go fishing yet as my wife is terminally ill and I am home all the time caring for her. I began to tie flies to keep my finger dexterity for another hobby I can't do now. I am addicted to tying flies now. I haven't tied many streamers with exception of Carrie Stevens type streamers because I didn't understand the reasons for the design. Hey i put uv cure glue in the mask befor i slide it on the hit it with the light and it cures it thru the mask then i put my thread dam in front just thought i throw that out to you great fly thxs for the videos

Would that fly work with other species? When I first saw it the first thing that ran through my head was largemouth bass.
