WARNING - This helmet is un-certified meaning it is not made to modern safety standards and will not protect you from head injury in the same way that a certified helmet would. Please do your own research on certified vs un-certified helmets.
Some people need a helmet that they can wear when a helmet is required but not exactly needed. Not everyone is doing crazy stunts that require a ton of protection. Some people just need a commuter helmet.
Because it's more logical to go with a helmet that is literally different in no way but is certified and actually would offer that protection even if you didn't need it.
Living here in So Cal, I now have like 6 skateparks that are about 15 minutes of less from my house. As skateboarding seems to be on a huge uptick, now is a great time for Pro Tec to sponsor these pros and put their product name out there. These look like really nice helmets. Of course, any helmet is better than no helmet when you slam.
Tyler wa well then maybe they should make a decent certified helmet that’s comfortable and actually sits right on your head when it’s actually in use, one that isn’t 3lbs flying to each side of your head. It’s not gonna do much when you fall and the helmet swings over to the side of your head and you break your kneck instead of your skull. A thicker certified version of this helmet would be amazing though
Pro-Tec, how does this fit in your ethics and policy as a company to produce and distribute non certified helmets in general? Many tests show these do next do nothing to protect your head from serious injuries. Don't misunderstand me, I really like your products and actually wear a B2 Skate. It just baffles me how these products are still made and sold like that.
This one is fine for skating, unless you are doing backflips or the loop. Ive been using one myself, if you think it offers no protection i invite you to slide down the bowl and hit your head without this helmet, because i can feel a big difference. I wouldnt ride this for bikes tho, also when i was in vietnam they used the shttiest helmets to ride motorcycles, you are better going there and screaming to people about it.
@@leredditcommander8208 still think a protection company shouldn't be selling something that lots of people have been hurt using. Cant use them in many pro comp so why put them out. Pros know how to crash the best and get out of things the best way. so this the cheapest lid you can get more or less kids get and they get knocked the fuck out easy wearing these.
This helmet is not a certified helmet. It's a soft foam skate helmets. Intended for low impacts typical of skate board use. We have certified helmets in the line. check the site.
All skate activities should be done with a certified helmet. I’ve had so many friends and myself get concussions and brain injuries from skate injuries. There’s no reason to wear a helmet that isn’t certified.
