@@BudsRPGreview Maybe a D&D contra Delta Green breakdown of the mythos? How both systems view it. Where they are similar and different? I'm also just pushing this to fan boy a bit because I spotted AJ in your comments. I have no shame.
Had a laugh at the Office of Naval Intelligence logo. Been a halo fan for a long time and watching as people throw in the logos of the UNSC and ONI into modern agencies always causes a hearty laugh. Thanks for your videos bud, been a lovely help to understanding the world of Delta Green more and trying to nail down the veils and strings that lie behind my players eyes.
The Innsmouth raid was an actual Chaosium adventure. Or the end chapter of one. Your traditional investigators have been prodding around town and finally been chased out. And just when the players might think "Dang, we can't fight a whole town" the FBI shows up, debriefs them and offers them a role as consultants and advisors. If the PCs are up for it, the PCs are split between three marine squads, the submarine and the coast guard cutter. One squad starts advancing on the temple, one small team infiltrates the Marsh manor to secure the pnacotic scripts, one large group boats into the caves under Innsmouth. The cutter and two support ships shell the city. The submarine goes on an adventure. You do not play the FBI men raiding the refinery. The game plays scene by scene in each approach chronologically. The PCs are separated, players with no PC present play premade, simple marines and sailors. A whole lot of NPC soldiers follow along. You play one scene where the marines take the temple, one where the coast guard shells a large shape rising from the water and if the coast guard fails the next scene with the marines in the temple has them face Dagon. The submarine torpedoes a thing and in the next scene the coast guard crews see something large and wounded float up.
Delta Green is by far the best use of the mythos for roleplay. I'm spending too much money on antifungal Plutonian tin foil. Thank you for a great lore breakdown man
I started reading Viscid and it was an amazing adventure until the MJ12 stuff hits. It really went off a cliff. This helped me digest it during a second reading, thanks
Very concise, accurate, and well-done explanation of Delta Green. Thank you for this. Its always good to get a quick explanation of RPG lore that manages to be short without glossing over too much important information. I hope we can get many more videos like this to help explain things to new players or to show to non players to get them to try out a game.
@@BudsRPGreview I agree. You did a great job at explaining the main conflict, the origins of both groups, why they are enemies, and the extra fluff is a nice bonus that can be discovered as one dives deeper into the lore of the game.
be nice to hear why are they here and why they never said anything about their world and going home? that deal only helps our government and hurts the people for a lifetime.
Pagan decided to start with the Mi-go. The cult of Cthulhu has been suppressed into obscurity. They did a lot of work on them, vastly expanding and creating their own version.
I always wonder how HotOE would play out with Delta Green Operatives.......the Static Teams would be busy ....it is a mind experiment they gets messy in later episodes.
Not really, no. Our Handler is also working on some freelance editing for Chaosium, and also about to start a new distance learning course so his time is limited. I need to speak to him probably...
@@BudsRPGreviewYou could play that raid in the last chapter of Shadows over Innsmouth. Just when the PCs have been chased out and realize they can't invade a town. At that point you have poked around all over town and know it better than the soldiers about to raid it.
I assumed your hand gestures would distract me but they actually helped me follow along with what you were saying. Thanks for the concise and clear explanation!
