Buddha Park is located on the Mekong River 15 miles (25km) east of Vientiane city center and makes for an easy day trip.
Known locally as Xieng Khuan (literally meaning “spirit city”), this unique and quirky site with an interesting history is home to over 200 statues depicting Buddhist and Hindu figures.
