Such a strong, deep and clear conversation. Thank you both for sharing from your long friend- and relationship with many insights that bring healing and relief.
Beautiful conversation. I love the idea of being a pain advocate because it speaks to the notion that one of the most powerful things we can do is question our assumptions. We assume pain is bad, that it holds is back, that it is unwarranted or unnecessary or unfair, but what if it's the exact opposite? What if it's a beautiful gift that serves to call you to claim your power, to free yourself from your perceived burdens, and realize your true potential. Now instead of numbing the pain or running away from it, I can face it with courage and dignity, knowing i can trust myself in mind, body and spirit, that i am the only safe space that I'll ever need because i am powerful enough to show up and be there for myself when it's hard. Our pain calls us to deeply and unquestioningly know that we are enough and everything we need is inside us, all we need to do is be willing to relinquish our attachment to the pain, in other words all of the stories we tell around it, like that it makes us weak, unlovable or evil. Pain calls us to know the beauty of life inside us.
Thank you for another gift for humanity! This is the kind of podcast that makes sense to listen to, it's no waste of time. All is very authentic and feels so resonant. I have truly not the right words to describe what it means to me to be able to listen to your podcasts! First class quality! 🙏🙏🙏
1:22. body as a cell in God's Christ's body (Supported by Quantum Physics) a unified larger story -- think nesting dolls. Because God being ONE means it is one fabric of you name it-- love, pain, trauma, joy, peace. We experience it individually but at the same time as part of the collective. Your body bore it for you...becasue the body is Christ's body too. He is alive in us. The Life is our husband. Our Maker is our husband Isaiah 54:5. This is such an incredible chat-- two amazing humans! So grateful I discovered you Elisha. Blessings on the school and alll your healing work!!
Just yesterday my friend and I were discussing the limitations of freedom and the freedom of limitations. I haven't listened to a podcast in a long time because they all say the same old things and none of them were exciting to me; this podcast brings my mind to life and resonates with my spirit.
Beautiful, I'm so glad to hear this! I relate - so many podcasts just have the same guests on, repeat the same things and rarely enter the depths or reach for the heights. Thanks for being here with me!
Thank you Elisha! I’ve just (re) found you at the perfect timing. The clip of you and your dysfunctional relationship addiction really spoke to me. I am in the midst of experiencing and slowly freeing myself from.. my low back pain hurts soo much every time I try to call it off, my inner child /trauma so comfortable in being mistreated.. Praying for and receiving grace. Thank you for what you do
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. So many of us go through these patterns and we don't talk about them because we feel ashamed, or because we'd prefer people see us the way we WANT to be - instead of as we are now. Healing starts with the courage to accept what is, now. From that place we can find healing and freedom and then actually create the change we want. Sending you lots of love 💛
Rev. Jonah's story reminds of the quote from Shrek-- people used to think that I was a monster and I believed them.but after awhile you learn to ignore the names that people call you, and just trust who you are. " I too have experienced this profound transfiguration of the soul beast. Because the beast was always good..primal nature is our very root and survival.
You're doing great, so far, IMO, as a podcaster! I was drawn to your facia videos a few months ago because of some pelvic issues. I happened upon this podcast as a result of that. And the funny thing is, the "grace, in it all is, that I'm also a Truth seeker, doing some inspirational writing and these topics fit right into that part of my journey. I've watched this, as well as the first episode and I think I'm hooked! Thanks!
Regarding pain and self generated pain is beautifully captured here and in the song hurt. Originally done by Nine Inch Nails, and later covered by Jonny Cash in his epic rendition. Separately you two are a great pairing in this work.
What we read in the scriptures happened in the physical realm but it is always happening in the spiritual realm. Our bodies are the physical manifestation of Christ. Christ has no body but yours Elisha! Do you know those words from Teresa if Avula? They suffer and our souls are part of the resurrection story. Embodying the lost and rejected soul parts is the often painful path of this lifetime (or many!(
