As for the saying of Abu Bakr (radiyallāhu ‘anhu): “Indeed one side of my waist sheet slips down unless I keep hold of it.” So Allah’s Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said to him: “You are not from those who does it out of pride.” (Al-Bukhāri no. 5784) When it’s deliberately done out of pride then it’s a major sin. As an ex-buddhist who reverted to Islam, brother Ali is absolutely right when he says 'buddhists don't really know what they believe'. It's funny how this is true both in Christian 'monotheism' and in buddhist 'philosophy'. You end up looking for reasons not to engage, rather than asserting your faith, because asserting anything becomes nonsense. You end up worshipping doubt itself. You worship suffering as a coping mechanism to suffering. You don't reject God, but you don't accept God (therefore you do reject God because both stances contradict each other). Alhamdulillah, I am of one of those few buddhists who didn't want to discard God as part of our guidance and I am so grateful that He chose me to be Muslim. Allahu Akbar. La ilaha illallah.

I listened to what this Buddhist had to say, and it sounds extreme skepticism. Skepticism is all good if you're searching for the truth(God), but it doesn't look like his journey is about finding the truth, he's just on a journey for the sake of it.

No, it’s wrong. It goes COMPLETELY against the Qur’an, which tells us to return a greeting with even _BETTER_ than what we received , or at the very least the same one (e.g. ‘Wa ‘Alaikum as-Salām’). Qur’an 4:86. But unfortunately, most Muslims are too obsessed with Hadiths and manmade traditions that they end up disobeying & contradicting the Qur’an itself, and thus end up sinning. Then here you are glorifying the mistake, and thinking you are doing something good. Whereas in fact you have just disrespected the Qur’an.
I used to have a Buddist friend and she went through a divorce very early in her marriage. She kept going to the temple for healing but occasionally she'd call me for advice. I tell her clearly that I derive my advices from Islam and she said I make more sense than her monks 😅

As a Buddhist I can explain I exist and don't at the same time, it is proven in science matter can only exist when observe because light reflect our eyes a type of sense, so if we have no sense then what am I? Everyone and whatever he or she thinks is submitted to laws ! There are 2 kinds of laws , the Creator's Devine Laws and the herders made laws ! The latter are forced on the cattle while the Creator's Laws are not imposed by any herder ! The difference is the Creator's Devine Laws need you to submit to them voluntarily and happily !

What if he (the Hindu) was blind, would he doubt sight?, because his argument is from the perspective of a child if you think about it (not to be rude) like he believes "if I don’t experience it then it’s not something I can believe in", so from his perspective it has to be from his direct sensory experiences or he won’t believe it (and then we go back to if he was blind would he doubt sight?) and an example I can give is one of a two year-old who covers their eyes and thinks that if they can’t see anyone, no one can see them, so that’s what he basically believes, the philosophy of a toddler (I don’t mean to sound rude. I’m just trying to be straightforward)
No you need to listen again, his belief is that even his perception is subjective and doubtful. According to him just because he sees a tree or building that's just a perception it does not mean they actually exist. And that he does not know if he actually exists
islam is the only religion left in the world its either islam or atheism people nowdays are just too smart to believe in other cults like christianity, buddhism, hinduism. atheism also has a big risky nonsensical proposition, but still i do understand why its more logical than the other cults, if there is no alternative then people will end up being atheist.
