I can't imagine what people were going through at that time. I was born in 87 and grew up in the 90s; we had learned so much by then that it was no longer a hysterical situation. Yes, ignorance still persisted but enough of us knew better. I grew up knowing that facts about HIV/AIDS and so it was never a scary disease to me. I saw the footage of Princess Diana visiting and touching patents early on in life so I knew there was nothing to fear. But people early on didn't have that confidence. Im sure most of them were good people that fell victim to hysteria. I imagine all those who died alone because people were scared to go visit them, how many mothers didn't hug their sons during their final moments simply because of fear. I wish I could go back in time and hug them all.

what a wonderful movie and the cast were so good and that is coming from someone who has taken care of loved, and watched people die of the same and was indeed heart broken ... we are so lucky to live in todays world with some hope my patients ..I was there boys for over 5 years and it was wonderful to giving them all that i could in my limited practice but so sad with the out come that was i many cases inevitable ....

Great movie so beautifully done, sometimes the saddest ones are the greatest. Deeply poignant and brilliantly, artistically performed. Was born in 67, so remember the shadow of this time .
