Mine regularly errors out and I have to press the reset. I actually caught it erroring out a few days ago, and now I'm wondering what to do? The Boiler was getting quite hot during it's heating stage (around 82 degrees) when the timer program stopped the cycle. The burner and pump both stopped but, as always, the temperature in the boiler continued to rise. It soon went over 90, and around then (maybe 95 degrees) the high temperature cut-out activated, and the display stated 'ERR' (error). A few minutes later I was able to press the reset button, and go out to work. I suppose if I do this every night before I go to bed, then I will be able to avoid an occasional cold house when I wake up in the morning. I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that allows the pump to keep running for a minute or so when the boiler program stops(?).
Looks like the boiler heating programs works incorrectly. Th logic should be the following: heater starts, as soon as it reaches temperature higher than the current of the boiler (but not earlier than 40C - antirust setup) the pump starts loading the boiler till the boiler temp reaches the set up time, after that the heater and the pump do stop both. So you need to set up heater temperature to lower limit so after stop it should not increase to STB limit temperature. Go to set up menu - boiler setup - max temp: default is 80, put it to 70 then exit. Look what will happen.
