Budget 2024: India Hikes Aid To Nepal, Sri Lanka | Reduces Allocation For Maldives, Bangladesh 

In line with India’s ‘neighbor-first’ policy and a big boost to some of the neighboring countries, the budget allocation for the Ministry of External Affairs saw an increased allocation for Nepal and Sri Lanka.
While Bangladesh saw a dip, Afghanistan and Maldives see no changes in the budget allocation from India.
The allocation for countries is primarily based on the requirements of each country for their development and infrastructure projects.
