Loved it, what a fun run. You guys need to do a cheap truck challenge. Three truck no more then $1000 and no more then $1000 in upgrades then tackle a track. Might even make a great two part episode.
Honestly it would cost more then it's worth and it kind of defeats the purpose of being a budget truck.. however it would be cool to see them do it with this or the 1000 buck lux as some people can't afford much more then a budget truck
@@craigtownsend3149 they made more off this video than that truck cost… it’s not about cost of the input, it’s investing in content people want to watch.
Love these cheap truck videos. I would love to see a cheap truck challenge involving all of you with a 1-2 thousand dollar 4x4 and do one if the trips to see reliability and what can be done by the average person. Was vastly popular over here in the states when motor trend did it.
@Patriot extraordinaire they're still doing their on demand paid service. I refuse to pay for what has essentially become one long ad sponsorship video. The average Joe is not going to just go out and buy a 1k vehicle and put 40k worth of parts just because like they do. 4wd action is much more honest and fun to watch. Although, tad bit of jealousy watching all the cool rigs Aussies can buy.
Just realized I bought a 4wd Action Magazine about a year ago and this episode was on the DVD. I was as super excited haha but I completely agree with the statement that you blokes should each purchase a sub $1000 4wd and spend no more than $1000 in upgrades and send them all in for a challenge 👌👌
The best part of this series is the radio communication, it's instantaneous and not scripted, this gives us different perspectives as they go through the trail
I remember being 17...camping with my mates and all i had was our old farm truck a 1988 B2600 single cab 4x4. Weighed nothing...and used to always be a laugh seeing where we could get that old girl! Got me out to some beautiful fishing spots though....
Awesome video! My base is a 2,000USD WD21 Nissan Pathfinder that I've since put 2,000USD in suspension, wheel and mechanical upgrades (were much needed and now perfect). Buy what you can afford and modify as your budget allows. I love the newer rigs dripping with tech, but my modest build makes me smile every time the tarmac turns to dirt. Cheers.
Great video! It really shows that you do not need to spend a bucket of $$$ to get into offroading and have really good fun. Good job Jock, you are the star!
I've been stuck offshore for the last month in Gabon and been waiting for two weeks for you to release another vid, made my day today. Thank you. From one of your Scottish fans.
just goes to show you don't need a high-dollar vehicle with the fancy latest bolt on aftermarket s*** just get yourself a four-wheel-drive get out and enjoy it. Awesome video, l wish I could take a trip down there and ride them trails...🤘
Best episode yet. A bit more Topgear style would be nice, tell us more about the cars, get some more cheapo's and change drivers during the episode. Loved it
5:15 is Graham says east is best? 12:34 never mind 22:35 don’t worry about the cool-ent 27:01 Graham: what’s that Shauno: that’s cool-ent Probably should have worried about the cool-ent
wow guys. Got directed to your videos for 4x4 tips and tricks. Started watching for adventures. Now im seeing and learning about parts of Austrailia I never knew about. Right on you guys. From Nor Cal, Banger of a show.
Coming from Scotland I find it amazing you can drive up the beach like that and no one complains. So cool. Although over here you can camp with out a permit.
The new Motor trend channel right here its free and provides equal if not better content Great job guys loved it you got an immediate sub and like from me... the little cooking show i wasnt expecting but i loved made me feel like i was right there with yall in my little v6 nissan d21..
OMG i have been going to Fraser for like? (well i'm 55 and i was 15!!!) Bloody 40 years.... It is a testament the beauty!!! Ms. Fraser Island that she still poses the same challenge's as she has always held me to the upmost respect... yes! firstly its always been about the tides, no matter what. secondly it's always been about the tyre pressures and momentum, but if you can be patient and wait for all the yobo's who haven't figured out yet. you'll bloody make it and have a cracking good time. Thanks guys for enlighting me of my journeys a past. I agree the west is best... Except the midgee's are brutal. but it's totally worth it... Cheers, Ex-Pat living in the USA these days... totally missing my old backyard... but living vicariously through you blokes... love you Channel!!!
Have to laugh. On here from the U.S. took me a second to remember 2nd grade science class when y'all were talking about it being a beautiful summer in DECEMBER. 😂
love the share and yep my mums dad was commando in ww2 I remember many stories he told me before I served and during keep up the work and let the old Nissan live on
I should Pull up in my Ute one day when I get all my problems under control. That Navara shares the story of my ute... And that story is engine losing coolant getting a bit hot... But with my Ute, it keep's blowing head gaskets and finally... The time has come to eliminate all leaks in my cooling system and get it resolved! My 4WD is a beast, powerful and impressive for it's age and durability... But sadly previous owners neglected it and it got water damage in the bores somehow. Even the head was replaced at some point. The best piece of advice I found recently was not just advice, but with the proof to backup the claim... Using Fuel Stabilizer and Additives for your engine will prolong it's life till the day the block cracks. This comes in the form of a vehicle which towed trailers day in and out which done around 2,900,000km before the block cracked and barely wore the engine out. The story goes, the owner went to rebuild the engine around 1,600,000 as he believed the engine would need reconditioning and the engine recon shop told him their was nearly no wear in the engine. But he bought a kit, they rebuilt it anyway and it lasted. This story was on DebossGarage and based on what was shown... It's a good consideration to make to look after your rig to get more life out of it. Look after your rigs, regularly maintain them and replace all consumables and it won't let you down! Regardless of Additives, they said the engine will last longer but Oil is oil and is designed for your engine.
These videos make me wish I could ship my Toyota 4x4 (Hilux for you Aussies) in from the states and give Frasier Island a go. The island now has a place on my bucket list thanks to you guys.
that NavLux reminds me of a Mates 4WD. It had Nissan badge on the front and Datsun written on the back (Could have been the other way around, they were the same company).
Gotta explore the Z Force base next time I’m there, certainly can’t wait to go back and see it! Had no idea it was there and must have driven past in many times. West side of the island is definitely one of the best places to be.
I don't think I have ever commented on your site however I am a frequent watcher. Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this episode. It makes me want to plan a trip to Baja which is those closest thing that compares that is close to me.
I think more stuff in the outro needs to be worked into the main section hilarious work guys pissed myself laughing multiple times. You three together remind me of Jeremy, Richard and James. I second the comment below around a cheap truck challenge/trip. Keep it coming.
During the "Fish&Chips" section, Do you guys have 'Frank's Red Hot' available down there? If so, get some, if not siracha will do in a pinch. The idea is, instead of egg-wash use the hot sauce. So, dip it in the seasoned flour mix, dip it in the hot sauce, re-dip into the seasoned flour mix and fry! Prepare for your minds to be blown! IT'S That good! Maybe next trip boys!😉 Definitely worth a try!
Watching Jock’s face when he was getting salted with salt water was Hilarious. They will scrape branches, go through mud holes that flood the inside of the rig but when it comes to salt water 😱😨😵💫
@@Kiel1919 Yes Sir you are right it was just kinda funny to see his reaction for what could be washed off. I was just thinking that I haven’t seen one of thier videos pop up in a while. Hopefully they aren’t in lock down. What’s happening over there is crazy to say the least.
Alright I've gotta say, That's the best lookin feed I've seen you blokes cook up on this show hahaha well done. Love the budget 4wd episodes. Hey what happened to the $0 Zook??
Literally just came home from Fraser 2hrs ago and get to watch this. Perfect 👌. Been going up there since 91 they did fail to mention though that the reason that the west coast is quite is because the sand flies are crazy all day and night
The $1000 little truck was best bit.. I think all 3 of you get your selfs a cheap truck with a build budget! Would be an epic series... what motor is in the naughty sounding bus
