illegal is illegal they should be kicked out not accepted as long as we accept and let in we give them more than our own people get. no 3 meals a day no heating yet illegals get this
So 'working people' won't be subject to increased national insurance, VAT or income tax. Instead they'll just lose their job as their employer can't afford to pay them.
When the company goes insolvent that's it finished ! It happened to a Co I worked for years ago, a brief meeting on Monday morning get into your car and go !
You’ll need to work 80 hours from April I’m afraid and sleep in your break thanks to labour and the ever growing boat invasion living in nice expensive hotels for you to pay for
@@ShyTalks-d8bI suspect from your comment that you’ve never run a business. I have and my margins are small. I can’t now afford to take on new staff and I’ll probably have to pass on the additional costs to my customers. Not all employers take advantage of “the workers”.
That`s not even half of it the charge kicks in at 5000 now instead of 9100 is way more expensive especially for the lower paid staff combined with the new living wage ☠ the cost of a minimum wage worker is increasing by about 20%
So a budget that will lead to: job loses, tax rises, companies shutting down, less investment into the UK. And I'm sure Labour's pals will be getting money funnelled their way.
I’d have more respect if they just didn’t take us for fools and say this is the plan we don’t want you using cash we don’t want you shopping in person or going to the pub when you might speak freely! It’s a dystopian future been planned for years but people label it “conspiracy theory” until they see it actually happening
Punish the workers . Pay the scroungers .the workers of this country are sick of scroungers and paying for them . Punish business while freeloaders get new cars houses this country is beyond broken
As a small business owner, employing 8 local people, it looks like I’ll be closing the doors for good. I’m already taking home less than my employees and I’m not prepared to take any more of a hit. I’m out. And I think many more will follow
I really feel for you. People think if you run your own small business that your making loads of money but your often just struggling to pay your costs and pay yourself a decent wage. People will just give up - and that's so sad.
My business, for each item I sell, between VAT and corporation tax I was already making less money off each item than the government was. On average I made £30 an item and the government made £40
That's so sad, fact is they don't want small businesses, you only have to look at the high street. Might be a blessing, If you are taking home less than your employees you are working for them.
Simple survival of the fittest I'm afraid. Strong business will cope with this no problem. Poorly managed small ones that are not needed anyway if decide to keep sacking staff will eventually go under anyway. We need strong business not eBay and tick tok shops run from home.
"You'll own nothing and you'll be happy" (WEF, 2016). We are getting there. However, the statement applies only to the plebs, not to the entitled ones.
HONESTLY. I feel so demoralized so much. This is a massive tax on working people plain and simple why should I got to work and work hard. Labour now say the HARDER YOU WORK, THE HARDER THEY WILL TAX YOU.
1.8 billion for over 900 victims of the post office victims who were subjected to being jailed or accused of stealing, accused of a miscarriage of justice, taken to court and/ or prosecuted wrongly. Will that amount be of any use at all compared to the amount they lost as a result of wrong conviction?
My youngest son and his wife work for her father, in a successful small business. There are 5 people who work there including the owner. They are all paid above the National Living wage but my son and his wife are still struggling to save enough for a deposit for a house of the size they need for themselves and their 2 young daughters. So they are renting. I don't think this budget will help them at all.
Lots of Working People wont be paying More TAX..because They will Loos the JOB as Small Businesses will have to Get Rid Of PEOPLE & New small Business Wont even Bother to Starting up
It means businesses will close down. It means more homelessness. It means more waiting times in hospitals. It means more taxes for hardworking people. It means pensioners are poorer. It means more debt . It means lower living standards in a generation. We are looking at bleak and diyer consequences
Anyone who chooses to use the private sector be that education health care or what ever should get a refund against their taxes as they are not using the state places and saving the government a great deal of money. Very kind of this stupid government to agree to allow carers to work more hours and still claim carers allowance, again they are saving the government thousands of pounds a year. I was a carer for my husband but could not claim carers allowance because I worked too many hours. I managed to do this by getting up at 5am every morning to deliver his personal care needs deal with his medication and organise meals so that he could manage while I was at work. Then I came came home and started all over again.
I’m 1:18 in, and so far as a business owner I’m already £100 per month worse off just by you reducing the ni thresholds. Easy - both staff member’s just lost 5 hrs per month. Budget balanced. So far.
Big business will be hurt too, either no job, or price increase's of the products they sell. Which if you are on min wage. Price raises all round, risk of losing your job.
Small businesses already are struggling and this is final nail Job losses on way and she has destroyed the business that made this country great and employed local people
Just wait until Red Ed's net zero policies push up the cost of energy so companies take a massive there. Nobody will be able to afford to build anything in this country!
As a business owner this is just pushing me to utilise AI rather than hire. In a world where particularly entry level jobs in the corporate sector can now be automated this is going to make it incredibly difficult for new graduates and entry level candidates having any opportunities.
"I can today announce, that this government will ensure that the public workforce grows each year of this Parliament, with the ultimate goal of bringing the entire British economy under the wing of the British state, and that personal effort will be discouraged and private gain arising from personal effort will be made illegal. I commend this course of action to this House and to the workers of Britain."
Thankfully, as a self employed bloke and a small business owner and not an employer other than myself, this budget won't really hit me as bad as I thought, unlike those small businesses that employ four or more people. I can see, some companies that employ new staff trying to get them all on the minimum wage. As for the general outlook, the budget isn't good because growth is negliable for the next three years or more as I see it.
YES she didn't put fuel duty up. SHE took it from the oil companies instead. Then they will charge us more at the pumps. So she did put fuel duty up. DIDN'T SHE
Some people are so thick they don't seem to understand the difference between taxes and increasing product prices. Oil companies have to decide to pass on any tax increases & customers have to be willing to pay for them. How do you know oil companies won't absorb the extra costs?
The previous labor strategy was to startwiththeworst, then gradually relief. With the gift gate scandal, she changed the strategy to raise the tax gradually year over year.
Reeves referred to comments by unelected civil servants regarding the last government. So, as with the bank of england given independence from government by Labour in 1997, Labour are intent on taking power away from the elected government and giving it to unelected beaurocrats. Labour are in overwhelming power because of an exceptionally undemocratic electoral system - people did not need to vote for Labour to get into power. In short, the electoral system has overridden democracy, rendering it impotent. Do you see where we're going? We get a bunch of totalitarian liars, whose election manifesto was a sham, in government and they listen to unelected beaurocrats in order to criticise the last government because they (Labour) lack the intelligence to see through the beaurocracy that they thrive on. Labour only have, at best, support from 33.7% of the electorate that voted (80% of the total electorate DIDN'T vote for labour). Don't we live in a democracy? No, we live in a totalitarian state where Labour, starting with Blair in 1997, are working to end democracy in this country forever and this is evident in Reeves' comments in her budget speech. Labour aren't bothered about the electorate, they're only bothered about creating a wealthy controlling elite who stay in power no matter who is in government. Democracy devolved.......
If you tax employers, you inevitably end up with that cost being passed on: higher prices, lower wage growth, fewer people getting a job. Reeves must surely know this if she is the economist she claims to be. I'd have more respect if she'd said that we have got a big problem, and we want to spend money on infrastructure and handle this or that, so the public need to put their hands in their wallets. That would be tough, but it would be honest. All this stuff about the black hole, the OBR, etc, is simply flimflam and erodes trust. I agree with those who say that organisations such as the OBR should be closed. It is now just a fig-leaf for politicians who want cover for what they want to do all along.
There's the welfare bill going up then, more jobs gone, Putting min wage up will mean more workers paying tax! Haven't got a clue! Britain will be on the telly soon, please give £5 month to help all those who live there!
Would make a change to these celebs like Martin bell in his white woollen suit asking for copious amounts of money for Ukraine/ yemen/ water aid etc etc
Why don't politicians live in the real world an apprentice wages going up from 6 pounds to7 pounds an hour slave labour this is 2024 not 19 64 how can a young lad live on that the cost of living petrol prices house prices are not at 19 64 I think every one should be on the minimum wage no matter what age you are this labour government is not for the Working people
Watching this government....no wonder the country is in such a mess ...they behave like school children...cheering like children....we need some grown up adults to run this country
"I do not take this decision lightly" Oh go away your speaking so much BS like everyone before you, jobs will be lost small business will shut down or move away. NHS money wasted because every single trust has so much waste its unbelievable too many people the top too many executives non executives.
I look forward to NASA's next astronaut coming from the ranks of the floor cleaners, I'm sure they're just as capable of putting satellites into orbit as someone who's trained for 15 years.
