@@OwenJackson I've only tried Vivo, but my favourite from them so far would be the Decon, i don't think i've tripped due to slippy surface a single time with them, they're just so grippy. Would really recommend them!

@OwenJackson Winter shoes "Magical shoes", casual shoes Splay, Vibram Fivefingers (Alfa) and Luna Sandals (Flaco Oso). (Also I've tried the most popular model of Xero shoes, but I didn't like them because of the shape and materials.)

Hy John, the washable, stretchy uppers and biodegradable features are impressive, especially for the price. Grey is versatile, but a blue option would be nice. How do you feel about the comfort and fit so far, and do they meet your expectations in terms of ground feel and style? The asymmetric lacing might suit you perfectly, but it's easy to fix by crossing the laces over the loop in the centre of the tongue, as suggested by community members if it's not to your liking.

​@OwenJackson I first got into barefoot shoes when Mark Lewis was talking about it on his channel a couple years back I wanted to try it and then tried it and never turned back . My exercise has changed because it's changed my balance and posture quite a bit. I think it's due to being more aware of it all but the shoes really do help. Worth every penny haha

Hey Emily, I think the grey is a great choice! I went with my regular UK size 8 which corresponds perfectly with an EU 42. If you'd like to check the best size for you, scroll down to the bottom of the page and compare your unique measurements with the size guide: lonowear.com/?ref=owen There will always be some wear and tear with high-impact activities like burpees, but my initial testing seems positive. It's great that the toe cap covers a wide area, preventing premature wear on the knitted mesh upper. How do you plan to use your new shoes the most?

In a UK 6 they say size 40, but it’s usually 39 (and that’s what my measurement suggests will be right 🤞🏻). I’m after a shoe to live in- work in a gym, CrossFit, wear out the kids, pound the pavement. I had vivo lites last summer I loved the feel but wore out the sole quickly. Merrel vapour trail good but now also worn out. Do you have any feeling about the durability of the sole of Lono compared to vivo?

So far the sole is good with no signs of degradation. They are a little thicker than Primus Lites, so what you lose in connection, you’ll gain in longevity

What would be your Vivos of choice? You're right about the caller I was drawn to them 💚 I think they suit the shoe well

Hey James, I find the Primus Lite slightly wider. The LONO shoes have a great barefoot shape but come with a little more padding, so the overall room for the foot feels slightly less. However, I still opted for the same size as my Vivos and found them similar sizing, but not identical. @@OwenJackson Yes, sir. Got KSO Evo, which I use for trail running. Very minimalistic. Also, more budget Saguaro, mainly for walking around. 1 year since I started in barefoot shoes, still transitioning. Longest distance I've run is 10 km. Feel less pain in knees and hips.

Hey Evans-Claude, thanks for watching mate. Yes, I opted for the same size as I would in Vivo shoes. In comparison, the Primus Lite, and especially the Lite Knit, tend to have a bit more room when you choose the same size compared to the LONO FLOW. I wear trainer socks or go sock-less, the LONO feels great for my foot size and shape. However, with thicker socks like STANCE, I prefer removing the insole to give myself a bit of extra room. I prefer a slightly roomy shoe overall. Hey Herman, I'm curious too. Listed on the website it says: *The biodegradability of the materials DOES NOT affect the lifespan of the shoes. Degradation only occurs when they are buried in landfill conditions.*

Glad to hear the word is spreading and converting the masses to barefoot freedom. What features or aspects of these barefoot shoes do you think made them appealing to your friend?

I even have my brother involved! But he's finding sizing difficult and resorted back to squished toe fits all approach on ordinary trainers for now As for these, it's mainly the appearance. They're quite sleek looking and the knit material definitely helps with it not looking like a giant shiny clown show. Also the offset lacing is +2 fashion points as well

What aspects of the Vivobarefoot design do you prefer over the LONO barefoot shoe? What are your current favourite vivo model?

@@OwenJackson I've several pairs, magna daily, I've the waterproof walking boots and I've the flynit for warmer weather. The over all design of vivo is much nicer. These lono look like something from a cheap shop. I hate they have side lacing and the mono olours are bland. I 100% wouldn't buy these.
