I see you made a good decision by switching to TDA3116d ... I feed with 24V.20Amp. every 2 tda3116d and change the source fan for a larger and quieter one (92mm x 25mm) you will also need to reinforce those bodyshakers if you want them to last you with a strong punch, I will try a new preview shortly and send you photos for reinforcement and cooling passive. greetings from Spain.
@SimRacingCorner
@SimRacingCorner 4 года назад
Thanks Jose, I'd definitely be interested to see what you've done to reinforce the bodyshakers. The amplifier doesn't have a fan, it's passively cooled. I haven't opened it, but I'm guessing there's a heatsink inside.

Hi man, good video, i have same amplifier with the 2 metal cheap transducers, using simhub and they works very good. Would be interesting if you make a video about simhub and how to properly set this types of bass shakers.😉

This setup looks like it works much better than my single buttkicker 2 that constantly overheats and shuts down. I am thinking about doing this type of setup for my rig, just got to work out how to attach it. I use a next level racing GT lite, so the frame is 1" pipe. Anyway, thanks for your informative videos.
@loveracing1988
@loveracing1988 2 года назад
Did you ever figure this out? I am planning the same thing
@markp2085
@markp2085 2 года назад
@@loveracing1988 For now what I have done is I purchased a small USB fan that sits on top of the amp. The fan faces downwards so it blows air into the air slots. This solved the problem of the AMP shutting down from overheating. I am still fighting the actual buttkicker with its overheating. I have alleviated a lot of that problem with a larger USB fan that also has a battery and a clip so I clip it right on the buttkicker. The fan can run on high on battery power for about 9 hours. As long as the red light doesn't come on or just comes on once in awhile on the AMP, the buttkicker does not shut down. This arrangement is working much better than it was without the fans. It is not perfect, but it is better. I got the fans from Amazon. They are the 10000mAh Rechargeable Portable Fan, 8-Inch Battery Operated Clip on USB Fan, and the Gaiatop USB Desk Fan, Small But Powerful, Portable Quiet 3 Speeds. I am still planning on eventually replacing the buttkicker with a couple of those more powerful transducers and getting a better amp. Also, on my next level racing gt lite rig, I originally had the buttkicker attacked to the horizontal pole on the back of the rig (think its there to attack shackers). But when I moved the buttkicker to the front horizontal pole that holds the steering wheel in place, I was able to nearly double to amount of vibration I was feeling. I also had to build up the pole where the buttkicker attackes with masking tape so it can make a tighter fit.

Well done again Jeremy. To get further buttkickness i use the sound cards eq settings to push up the low end bass frequencies to fine tune the effets on my P1, its handy to get that strong rumble without distortion. I use 2 sound cards for simvibe and my rig certainly feels it. Your setup in this video shows that you can get profile to rumble. I had comments on my setup suggesting it doesn't get much power to shake the rig on there set up. How wrong they are. BIG thumbs up buddy. Dave.

Good video! You've got yourself a new subscriber! Keep up these kind of awesome video's :) Bought 5 of those shakers today and will pair them with an 5.1 Home Theatre Receiver rated 100w per channel @ 4 Ohm. Should have plenty of power. Going to wire this via HDMI and use that as the sound output for my shaker setup. Should be alot of fun probably when this is done. Only thing I don't like about these cheapo shakers is the bare metal looks.. I will design a 'shell' to print over them and cover them a bit for the looks.
@SimRacingCorner
@SimRacingCorner 4 года назад
Thanks Michael and welcome to my little channel. 3D printing covers for them is a great idea, I like that.
@JoseFcoBN
@JoseFcoBN 4 года назад
I do not think it is a good idea, the great temperature burned the cover or the bodyshaker, it happened to me ... if you want more aesthetics you can put a box with a fan-extractor, or buy other bodyshakers with metal cover.
@MrMichaeljaggie
@MrMichaeljaggie 4 года назад
@@JoseFcoBN i Will not be playing these shakers any higher then say max 40%. Temperature should be fine and so will the printed cover. Only time will tell.

I am trying to hookup 2 50w 4ohm shakers to my surround system. I have them connected to the Mono Pre-Amp Subwoofer (is that the correct way to do it??) . I have tried two amps, a new Fosi 100w 2-8ohm, and a Marantz 125w 8ohm Mono amp. And my Denon S750H AVR has a setting for the Subwoofer output that goes from -12 to +12 db. I have to set it to +12 to get good shaking at all. But then my 2 subwoofers are too loud. I can turn the gain down on the back of my subs, but I don't think this is the correct way to set this up. I don't think I should be turning my subs down to only 25-30%. I have wired my shakers in parallel and series on the Fosi. 2ohms works best and it doesn't get hot. But still this doesn't shake as much as I think it should. What am I missing??

That may help, but do understand the bass shakers vibrating your sim rig generates noise regardless, so it's not silent under any circumstances.

Good work as usual, I miffed as my little 25W amps are only on a quarter volume and shake the hell out of my rig, as I said before using three of them and their awesome maybe I'm just a more modern sensitive guy, just got a Fanatec DD2 and its killing my hands need to go back a look at your glove videos again. Keep up the good work

When I had the body shakers on the seat frame, it wasn't so bad with the weaker amp, but now I've put them on the pedal frame, the amp simply struggled to pass meaningful tactile through. And welcome to the world of direct drive wheel action, gloves will help.

Good info, thanks. Could you set up front left/right and rear left/right bass shakers and would it give you left and right vibration?
@SimRacingCorner
@SimRacingCorner 2 года назад
Yes that is possible, though it's an effect that isn't always easy to achieve, in as much as being able to detect which side the vibration is coming from. As vibrations leak across the sim rig rather than feel like they are coming from a single location.
