Hope you all enjoyed the gameplay! Remember, if you're interested in picking up some new art for your cards without having to physically alter your cards, be sure to check out Alter Sleeves! bit.ly/casually-cedh-alter-sleeves
i have a command tower alter from a Magic Fest, and i love it. Sadly i really hate navigating the website, esp. for random discoveries. When you just flip pages and you see same art and just borders, textbox varies and all take up a single slot (instead of being 1 item and then bring able to choose "style" or smth), its so cluttered. And a huge bunch of the alters feel like no work copy paste the same speech bubble or smth on 10 different cards.
@@Egovinco98 Send them a message. The company is very responsive. As for navigation, it is by default the most recent alters that have been uploaded. That is why you see like 10 variations of the same design. It is because the alterist made an alter and then needs to upload all the variations they think people might want (name visible, name and type visible, name, type and text visible, etc etc).
@@xandermarvin6488 same thing happened to me in my Karador deck. I was just goldfishing when oops ghave, mikaeus, and sifter of skulls gives me an infinite with one other non-human creature.
True. Once i borrowed my Ghave to a judge who i play with and some turns in he was just seeing the hand he got and not picking a card to use. He has not blocked because he didnt knew how to use the deck, he was blocked because he had so many options that he couldnt choose what to do.
I have been really liking the budget pods you play. I actually convinced 3 of my friends to build 75 dollar budget "cEDH" decks (we all know they are really budget high powered) but, all 3 of them have really suffered with being threats, overall having faster decks and clear wins and how to get them. once they sleeved up the new decks they are having much more fun, really interacting and our pod is much more balanced now, I no longer play arch enemy, we are all viable threats and scary to one another. and 2 of them are wanting to upgrade their new decks because they are having such a blast playing them. It's intoxicating to see your friends having so much fun because of the things you showed them(I showed them magic, and now these high powered budget decks), thanks for the content, guys!
@@jackhayes6969 I think there are more decks that can be cedh, it just depends on when you can win the game and how much interaction you have with your opponents that determines where you are in the spectrum. A combo deck like Godo that wins turn 1 but usually wins turn 3-5 reliably is still cedh even though it has limited interaction with the other players. Thoracle is the gold standard of cedh win cons but not all can use it or have it be effective. This is why some people see control decks as the low end of cedh as it grinds the game to a halt until that combo deck can get out from under it in a lot of cases or the mid range deck then overtakes the control deck. Some decks for them to be good require the other decks at the table to handle some threats for them. This is why those decks aren't tier 1 cedh decks and blue farm tends to be tier 1 because of all of its answers to everything with extreme card draw in the command zone.
I’m a simple man. I see Radha and I click 😁 recently included decree of annihilation into Radha so when I’m set up (with Radha and a bunch of creatures on the board) I cycle decree and watch everyone at the table cry 😂
14:34 Why does Nate L draw two cards at the beginning of his turn? It kinda looks like sleight of hand, but if you look closely it sure looks like he draws two cards. This looks sketch.
I was considering building RG Ruric Stax but now, seeng radha im just seriously considering change concept to her. This game was amazing, pls make more. Also, love your content!
Really love this budget series. I really would enjoy to see an esper control deck using Sen triplets as a disruptive commander. I'm curious to see what it could achieve in a ''competitive'' set up and how you would build it.
Always happy to see some new and exciting commanders at the table! Never saw Radha in action and it was quite a surprise. Keep it up guys, you bring incredible quality to the table
I play a budget Gallia deck with the 4 mana Radha in it, and when I draw Radha or Frostfang many games look like this one. Honestly, Frostfang is a super good card and I feel like it should see more play even in cEDH.
When you guys return, I'd love it if one of you ran the Ghave deck from tappedout. The "I Ghave that bitch an infinite combo. Bitches love infinite combos" deck.
By looking at the Mimeoplasm decklist I can see an Earwig Squad there, but I dont see any other rogues or goblins in order to play it for its prowl cost. Can someone explain to me how to pay the prowl or what the purpose of the card is?
I dont really like the pako list. It lack some speed (not enough ramp). You almost always want to play Pako on turn 3 *(yes even on budget).. Sure Kenrith transformation did hurt quite a lot in that game though. I'm not against extra combats, but extra turns tends to be strictly better just because you can untap lands, use cards from other and still get another attack.. I do think that Splinter Twin combo are fine though, but I think I still prefer "infinite turns" loops or just even chaining turn with some kind. .Sorry if I sound rude, but it is just that Pako is a pet deck of mine and i do like my "budget" version.. Keep up the good work and the game was still entertaining :D
Great video. However, I would like to know what cards are being put into the graveyard from mill effects. I realize this can sometimes get out of hand, but it's important to know.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that Pako & Haldan has creature-based wincons? I mean, if Pako eats them, you're never getting those creatures back unless they're Food Chain combo pieces...
If you look at 16:35 ish he has untapped lands behind the life total box. It's hard to see but I think at that point in the game we were shortcutting a bit so we weren't super focused on card placement
How in the world do you guys have such sweet openinghands every single time XD. And on curve as well. 80% of the time i start with like 2 shitty lands in hand and high curve crap even tho my decks are balanced in terms of cruve and land-ratio....maybe i am a shitty shuffler.
Budget decks is really fun. It makes winning more challenging. Not trying to offense anyone but probably yes because it pleases me to see people getting madly triggered at my words: EDH is more fun and amusing when you don't just focus on quick wins and big moolah spent in your decks, because remember, a dual land card is basically a piece of paper and what is paper weak to? Fire and water hehe. In conclusion: play to your utmost fun, instead of catfighting on who should win by turn 3 via expensive cards.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the trilobite ability gives two colorless Mana but only for activated abilities. Right? So he technically doesn't have infinite colorless Mana??? I was a huge ghave player but I was always confused with trilobite.
You are correct but Bill tapped the two mana he had from the plains and the swamp he had just played to cast life//death. He technically does have infinite mana to go infinite with ghave.
Mana from Trilobite can be only spent on abilities, and Bill had no mana sources open as he entered the loop. How did he cast 1B spell with only swamp and trilobite mana? Did I miss anything, or Bill should have passed the turn?
Sigh, I wish Generous Patron triggered off of opponents placing counters as well. That might be a bit strong for 3 Mana, but I think that's about the power level of a Rhystic Study. Would make it a very narrow but powerful hate card.
Really enjoy these budget versions. The deck perfrome at at high level and there is a lot interaction and room for unknown cards. the decks are also somewhat affordable especially compared to real cEDH deck. I would like to see more of these kind of pods/videos.
@@shenronsgoldfish but it's redundant to declares it everytime, even if there's no blockers. It's like saying "untap, upkeep, draw" each turn... you don't, unless there's some specific events during those steps
It wasn't necessary a guaranteed win, bit will the windfall forcing discards, psychic corrosion also forcing discards, and Bill having a good deal of black cards in his library, it's likely either Nate's opponents would mill out or Nate would draw the cards he needed in order to win
@@Sliver_Boi ah I see. I'm not super familiar with the kiki combo but I am working on a (mostly) creatureless pako/ haldan budget build. I'm trying to find ways to tutor/ combo with song of creation
That windfall was a bad play. Windfall in general is a bad play unless you know an opponent tutored for something or you have Ashiok, Dream Render/Notion Thief/ or some other mechanic that prevents opponents from drawing cards. Jordan gave the game away. At this point I expect him to make plays like that. His win cons are either the Thassa's Oracle/Demonic Consultation or Craterhoof. Way too obvious and way too disappointing.
There was potential to win the game off of it, and the interaction that stopped it (pyroblast) wouldn't have interfered with Ghave anyway. If there was a ton of interaction in hand suddenly with no mana sources to cast them, then you have a good argument, but otherwise I don't think it's that bad of a play as a good reason to cast Windfall most certainly was there.
@@Hitzel The windfall didn't get countered. The memory lapse got countered so I'm a little confused by what you're saying. The windfall refilled everyone's hand while Jordan had no man's moving forward. I guess he was hoping for a free counter spell but this is budget so i still don't know what he was thinking.
Ghave is one of my favorite decks to play because of games like this, just sitting quietly in the corner until you say "aaand now I'm going to drain you all to 0"
