Budget DIY Lighting for Furnished Small Rental That Looks Coastal Chic Designer 

I am currently trying to renovate one of my small beach cottages to flip and rent as a furnished short-term and mid-term rental. Decor and furnishings have to look and feel designer and chic but be budget-friendly. That means buying gently-used furniture from flea markets and Facebook Marketplace as well as buying lighting and accessories from big box stores like Target , Lowes and Amazon.
Big box decor needs a DIY custom touch like the chandelier I bought from Amazon. It has great bones, but it is plain Jane. I bought candelabra mini- lampshades and covered them in beautiful raffia cloth I had left over from a previous decor project. And because the cottage is a few blocks from the ocean, I wanted to play up the beach theme for my out-of-town guests. I glued white scallop seashells on the base of each light.
