Thank you for the comparison. This is the only video I have found to compare MV88 to a "shaver" style recorder. They both sound good. The Zoom seems more sensitive and picks up more background ambience, so I'd choose that if I were recording ambience. I would choose MV88 for the guitar song and situations where I want the foreground and less background.
Nice review. I use the MV88 for my daughter’s piano recordings, and then export/import the file from Shure’s MOTIV app to the n-Track Pro app (DAW) for quick processing on the go.
Hi - No - there is a facility within Logic to accept m/s recorded files so that they can be dealt with according to the recording method. I haven’t done this for a while now (the video is pretty old) but there is plenty of stuff online about it if you look up mid side recording in logic.
