I would say it is about 250 lbs more than the original truck bed. I would definitely recommend upgrading the suspension if you plan to build one similar. Weight could be reduced by using smaller tubing for the main frame rail.
We didn't weight it, but calculating it I figured it's about 400 lbs. Which was more than we wanted it to be, but it is what it is. Weight could be reduced by using smaller tubing for the two big frame rails.
It does on the driver side when it goes over a ditch or a hard bump, the plan right now is to put heavy duty 3" lift springs on it. Looking back on it, I should have built it higher off the frame. When I started, I had 5.5" of clearance which matched the front tires.
