Aldi's Bake Shop Copycat Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies
INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 3 cups old fashioned oats
• 1 cup dried cranberries
PREPARATION STEPS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer until creamy.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat well.
4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
5. Add dry ingredient to wet ingredients, and mix well.
6. Add oats and cranberries.
7. At this point, chill your dough for about 10 minutes. This will prevent excessive spreading and help keep that chewy texture.
8. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
9. Bake 8-10 minutes or just until the edges are set, but the center are slightly soft...this way we'll not have dry cookies.
10. Cool 5 minutes before removing to cooling racks.
