I disassembled my Eberspacher yesterday. The exhaust and fuel line touched and melted together. I have to figure out how I can isolate the exhaust. Your connections seem better separated. But my floor is 60mm so it’s difficult to reach the connections. I also put the heater on a stainless plate and put some rubber underneath. Just a tip for when you are building a composite box. I took my U3000 camper for 2nd test drive to a Christmas market in Germany. Almost freezing temperatures during the night as a result of the leaking Eberspacher. But that’s why we are doing these test weekend 😂

Great install. I’m curious to know why you didn’t just connect it to your main fuel tank though. I know you’ll have considered it. Oh - might be worth adding a rubber grommet where the piel pump wires pass through the floor in case of chaffing (if connector blocks allow!) 👍

Thanks. The new tank wasn’t installed yet. And, I am not certain we will continue to use the diesel heater - still testing. Some world famous friends of ours, with a blue Mog, prefer a propane system. So that is still an option.

On my car exhaust i noticed a metal ring that was acting as a washer. It was thin wire just wrapped into a circle and clamped between the 2 exhaust pipe sections. Maybe that is how they prevent leaks?
