I made this tonight using chicken legs and BAAAABY let me tell you it was so good!!! It came out delicious !! I had seconds!! I will be making it again and yes it is a meal that will fill you up, a lot of flavor, and is easy to make,... Much respect from Arizona !! A B. I m 78. I still do for myself. I was looking for a simple Chicken and rice. I wanted to put it in the Crock-Pot. This morning I made your recipe for chicken and rice. But I put it in the Crock-Pot. Cooked on low six hours. I made old fashioned green beans with bacon and pepper to serve with it. It was delicious. The rice was great. The chicken was so tender it almost melted in mt mouth.. Desert brownie chocolate sundae. Thanks so much. Got all the dry bean recipes.
AB I made this in my cast iron skillet, I added onion and green bell pepper. I served with fresh asparagus and homemade biscuits. My family loved it especially the rice. Delicious easy dish AB!
This and spaghetti was a staple in our house growing up. For a family of 5 it’s meals like this that made buying groceries affordable even back in the early 90’s.

It's 00:55 on the east coast and I just finished watching it. Looking good. I have some frozen chicken breasts that I will use to make this later on this coming week (I just defrosted a big one and it was so big I got 3 pieces out of it; had 1 tonight with fried diced potatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, but I forgot my garlic cloves).
I’m cooking this tonight. It’s in the oven now. I’m getting my meat thermometer out to check the temp of my chicken. Thanks for always suggesting that we use a meat thermometer. My husband always does when he smokes meat. Now I do too. I’ll let you know how it turns out. It smells delicious and the flavor of the broth was perfect!
