I've recorded sound for several independent films as well as many local music performances, both indoors and out. Field recording bags can be a bit pricey so I put together an inexpensive and light weight sound bag for my Portacapture X8 with all the mics and attachments I use. Here, I'll go over how I operate lavs and boom poles and also show you several methods I use to get the most out of my 32 bit Tascam recorder on film sets, concerts and music videos.
