Hi how does the X1 compare to the x2 please can you do a video on the x2 thanks
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 5 лет назад
The X-1 and X-2 are almost the same guitar. The X-2 has an upgrade to the body wood and bridge. Other than that they are the same, same neck, same pickups etc. As yet I haven't been able to get my hands on one long enough to do a review.

@@WombatPage thankyou so much for your reply this will be first electric guitar if i am able to get it as its second hand and im on a budget the outher thing is i notsed that the springs on the back plat had 5 spings does haveing more springs give they guitar a better st up or does it not mater i think the standerd set up had 3 or 4 i cant rember but this one has 5 and the back plate is missing for the springs by any chance do u have a contact email or a reputble websight wer i could get one or can i use any thanks againe

@@pinstripebanditt Unfortunately I do not have a website that you can get a replacement, try the Cort website. A lot of players remove the cover. As far as springs go, they add tension to the bridge to help it return to position after use. It is mostly personal preference. If the bridge is working fine then just leave them in place.

Great Review! Could you do a review on SX SE3? It's a Les Paul guitar and it's pretty budget! Thanks

All of my reviews are about what I can get a hold of at the time. If I could get my hands on an SE3 I would love to do a review for you.

Wombat, your reviews are awesome...you should do more Cort guitar reviews...and do you think Cort X series gets the job done for Drop A tuning? I'm a metalcore guy and am considering this beaut!
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
Thank you so much for watching. As far as drop A tuning, you can do this on any guitar really. Zakk Wylde used it on a Les Paul. It really depends on the strings. Go for thicker strings to help keep the tension and you should be good to go. The X series should do just fine.
@leviathandiabolo6296
@leviathandiabolo6296 6 лет назад
@@WombatPage and how about if I want Drop A on an Epiphone SG Special? What brand of strings should I use?
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
@@leviathandiabolo6296 The brand doesn't mater, it's the gauge of strings that matter. You want a thicker string on the down tuned string. 56 gauge or higher.
@leviathandiabolo6296
@leviathandiabolo6296 6 лет назад
@@WombatPage yeah mate but somebody told me that thicker gauge on a shorter scale length guitar like SG will never get the intonation right....is that true?
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
@@leviathandiabolo6296 No mate. Zakk Wylde used a 60 gauge for drop b and drop a on a Les Paul which is the same scale length as an SG. No problem.

Hi wombat mike in durham England here and the sun is shining, first time in weeks. Great video as always thanks for your hard work. My nephew is having a mid life crisis and is thinking of learning to play ,he's right into blues ,I was wondering what you would recommend for blues in budget gear no point paying to much if he cannot get away with it and it's no good to me I'm lefthanded hope all is good for you kind regards mike.
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
Glad you're getting some sun finally, we have had nothing but rain here for like a week. He could try The Cort G240, Cort CR50, SX Ash SST, SX Ash STL and even the Squire stuff has improved lately. Hope that helps.

Can i ask you something? Wich one do you think that it is an objectively better guitar? (Wood quality, electronics, finish, etc) this one or the cort cr200? I ask you this because i can only afford one guitar, to play metal, hard rock, shred and both are the same price, the cr200 being used, I'm sorry that i ask a lot of questions but you ate the only youtuber i know that played both
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
Thomas Ledesma they are roughly the same standard but the X-4 is aimed at shred and metal players.

thanks a lot for the review... im a new guitar player so would u recommend me to buy the X-4 as my first guitar? (i afford about 300$)
@WombatPage
@WombatPage 6 лет назад
dash sia depends on the kind of music you want to play. The X-4 is for shred type music. If you want to play classic rock or blues you may be more suited to the Cort CR50. The X-4 is a well made guitar but has a flat neck which is suited to shred style rock music. If that's what you want to play then you could learn on X-4 no problem.

I honestly just learn a heap of stuff about guitar necks.... So that's something :) um... smart comment.... I do enjoy a nice up-pull from my floating bridge... if you know what I mean
