Thank you very much for this review. I just found out yesterday that the Timberline is available in a left hand bolt, which I’m excited about, but I know nothing about this model. Now I’m definitely gonna have to consider one. I really appreciate the fact that you can adjust the pull and comb height. Great video. Thanks!!

Thanks for watching. Glad you found it helpful. I’m very happy with it. My youngest son is left hand dominant, and I’ve been considering doing a LH build for him to shoot with me.

Thanks for the video brotha. Looking at getting a Savage 110 of some variant so appreciate the info you have out on them. Awesome content on your channel. CA resident and 2A supporter myself.

Thanks I appreciate you bro. I love the 110 action. There’s so much aftermarket support for them.

@@2A_CaliGuy For sure there is definitely a lot of options. Want to get a decent out of the box bolt action for some hunting (that I’d like to get into) and long range shooting. Seems like this is a great option to build on.

Thanks. There’s something about ringing steel at distance that’s extremely satisfying. . Never had bolt action rifles, but have pushed ARs to the max the last few years. Decided it was time to try something else. This 110 is a tack driver. Most likely it’s capable of shooting better then I can 😂. Anyways thanks for watching. I’ve got a wireless mic set on the way that should boost the audio quality on my videos, and a bunch of new content I’ve been working on. So definitely stay tuned!

Great review! One quick question: Is the trigger guard polymer or metal? I am considering this rifle. It is on special at cabelas today chambered in 300 win.

I had to go check. On my timberline It’s metal. I stuck a magnet to it because by touch comparing it to my other 110s it’s hard to tell. Thanks for watching. I need to get a 300 win, and 300 wsm.

Nice rifle! Did you install medium size scope rings? I’m in the process of buying savage 110 timberline 308 22inch barrel. I bought a 6-24x50 vortex viper scope. Doing my research on purchasing scope rings and a rail to mount it. I’m going to buy vortex scope rings. Do you recommend medium size or high scope rings?

Thanks for watching I like the medium rings. I try to keep scopes as low as possible.

Zero stop. Please explain. Good video.
@2A_CaliGuy
@2A_CaliGuy Год назад
Zero stop is an extremely useful function on a rifle scope. In a nut shell you unset the zero stop, and then zero your rifle like normal. Once you have it sighted in you lock the zero stop, and then when you adjust elevation you don’t have to remember where zero was as the turret will physically stop when you return to zero. . Being as you don’t really ever have to adjust for shots closer then 100 meters/yards that’s where I’d set me zero.

I have been wanting this rifle for over a year now but being on va disability makes purchasing it a bit difficult lol. Oh well, maybe someday.

It is a nice rifle. I picked it up as a damaged box at 50% off. Thankfully there was no damage to the rifle only the cardboard box itself.

Does this come with a thread cap? I hate muzzle brakes
@2A_CaliGuy
@2A_CaliGuy 11 месяцев назад
It didn’t, but you can get the thread protectors cheap. Just make sure to score the spot between the brake, and the barrel or it will mess up the coating. I’m not a big fan of them either I like to shoot prone and it kicks up dirt

What spotting scope are you running?

It was a super cheap one from Amazon. SV-BONI I believe 😂. I need to just get some decent glass, but I’ve been shooting PCC which is why I haven’t been as active with videos. I’ve got some cool stuff planned for this coming year though!

I put an Arken EP5 5-25x on it. It’s really nice for the price, but I’ll still probably swap it with a vortex. At the end of the day I really love my vortex Vipers not crazy expensive, and yet still excellent clarity. Not to mention the lifetime warranty. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it

Running the Arken EP5 5-25x56 in this video. I swapped it out for a Razor 5-25x 56
