Hello, thank you. While I haven't personally tested it, from the specifications and reviews, the AK992 appears to be inferior to the AK966. The keycaps seem to be of lower quality, and the switches are typical ones found in many budget keyboards. However, the price-to-performance ratio is excellent for the AK992.
going to mod mine today, but worried about the power mode switch and putting back together. going to take out all the foam and put in neapolitan and glorious panda to see witch is louder.

Manufacturer declares support for Kailh 3-pin and 5-pin switches. But it should be possible to replace Kailh switches with Cherry/Gateron. I stumbled upon someone installing Gateron Reds into AK966. However, you should ensure that the replacement switches have the exact same pin configuration as the Kailh switches (3 pin or 5 pin).
@@NickBorodenko I thought I had a problem with the 2.4 receiver. But the problem turned out to be in the software. When software is open this manifests in the form of sticky keys or vice versa periodic failure of the keys.
hmmm... sounds tempting but I game a lot. the durability of the plastic concerns me. I have an insane ammount of time in Apex for example, 1900 hours since Season 10.and that's probably only about 65% of my total lifetime PC gaming edit: that said, it would get be an upgrade from my noisy and pretty slow response time of my Corsair K63
Keycaps have a high level of durability, whereas the quality of the case plastics is somewhat lacking - not terrible, but it does tend to get scratched easily. Although you can easily replace the keycaps, the keyboard frame is there to stay.
There is not right alt and because of that if someone has muscle memory (using right alt close to spacebar) there is no way to learn how to write fast. You have to learn again in hard way because FN can't be remapped to ALT. Only right CTRL can and it's 1,5cm away from spacebar.
@@Phayezorix hey can you please tell me if the 992 supports the software and also of the knob is also remappable? And is the RGB customization only zone based or per-key. Can I set different zones to different colors as I wish or it is limited to preloaded presets. Thanks in advance.
hey, Yes AJAZZ keyboard is compatible with software (OPENRGB) via the "QMK OpenRGB Protocol" you need to fiddle around with it to get the RGB working. Also im not sure about the knob being remappable. i would google QMK openRGB Ajazz and see what you find
Sorry for the delay in my response. I had to wait for my keyboard to completely discharge so I could test the full charge using a power bank. I don't have a USB tester to give precise measurements, but I can say that it took a total of 156% of a 10,000 mAh power bank to fully charge the keyboard. Considering the transfer losses and degradation of the power bank, the keyboard's battery is estimated to be around 9400 mAh, assuming an efficiency of approximately 60%.
@@Porubov I would think so when I saw the specs, I had a RK100 and used it for like 8 hours straight 5 days a week, it always lasted at least 3-4 weeks, this thing is supposed to have three times more battery, so it sounds about right
