You should do one on cremo. I see them all the time at Walmart, and are a pretty budget product. When I took a look at their products they had some bold claims, such as being “barber grade” and had pretty nice packaging
My personal opinion, the flexible paste and Matt wax are amazing for the price, especially since the fiber wax doesn’t smell like anything. Everything else I’ve used from them works really well, but it smells like like a teenage locker room
loved the in depth video! what kind of products do you recommend to use in humid condition? humidity makes my hair more frizzy and some products becomes greasy and weighs down my hair as the day goes on :( any ways to avoid it?
Thanks! For me in the humid weather I always need to prestyle with some kind of smoothing stuff (serum, smoothing lotion, 25 spray, Stickmore boost tonic, etc) which deals with the flyaways. And lately I have really been loving Oasis clay from Templeton Tonics. Really strong, fights the humidity very well and last a long time without getting greasy at all. As the day goes on it just makes my hair feel softer, but stays nice and dry.
I thought about buying that for this video as well, but I'm not much of a pomade guy in general so I decided against it. Based on my experience with these other 3 Axe products though I would assume that the pomade is probably not much better.
New to your channel, the hair colours you had are all so amazing ! Not sure why many other youtubers don’t try out hair colouring Also how do you do it ? Does it wash out & if not how do you remove it ? Does it cause any damage or change in the hair itself ?
Thanks! I have them done professionally at the salon. The vibrant colors are all semi-permanent, so they last a while but do slowly wash out over time (I get them touched up every 4 weeks). The colors themselves do not do any damage, but the bleaching/lightening process that you need to do beforehand does a bit (which I why I highly recommend having a professional do it - do NOT try to bleach at home!). I have a few videos on my channel of various cut & colors that I have done :)
Thank you for the comment x Answered all my questions 🙂 I will give colours a try when I’m a bit older, I’m just thinking if I worked in an office like I used to do, or in another shop/business they might have an opinion on it. But I will definitely give it a try at some point in my life, looks so good, I think it also shows a bit of personality & more style than plain colours. Thanks for the inspiration, I’ll keep watching your videos. You will get more subscribers I know it, you’re good at what you do & the colours are what makes you so special & I’m just totally in love with them. 💝
There are endless possibilities out there. It sounds like you have a similar hair texture to me, so I'd suggest looking into some kind of oil-based clay! Fuertes Clay and Grand Classics Texture Balm are two of my absolute favorites. For a water-based option that feels like an OB, something like the Flagship Streamline Heavy Clay is great.
@@TDMStyle the best of one of the lot is the gatsby moving rubber grunge mat, i used that for about 2 years before diving into the better sides of hair products.
@@TDMStyle If you're gonna use any Gatsby products, I'd strongly advise going for the Japanese ones. The Vietnamese ones are so bad in terms of performance and are a huge waste if money. But then again, it's your money so you decide what you want to test :)
You'd think that with all the resources a huge multinational company like Unilever has, they'd be able to produce a decent hair product. Sadly the QC and attention to detail in this range has been minimal. However, given the target market is teenage boys who want something cheap, readily available and "youthful", Axe probably doesn't need to worry too much about quality.
Basically I rough dry for about 30 seconds first, then go in with a paddle brush and comb my left side/back cowlick area back for 30-45 seconds to really iron that out. After that I do my standard round brush up and back/slightly to the side thing to smooth and straighten out the rest. Might do another blow dry vid soon 🤔
Luckily I never bought it. In general looks like a bad produts. The only 'cheap' product I bought was the Old Spice Putty ... and I never use it. Is worth it to pay more for a nice product, because is the only way to use it. Could be nice to see a review of Redken Brews Clay Pomade or Aveda Grooming Clay. Is the best stuff that I've discovered.
Yeah Axe is pretty bad...but your hair even looks good with this stuff. Got 2 B and Bead Head are a couple of budget brands that are pretty bad..but hate to admit I kind of like the bed head product called After Party. I rarely comment on videos but I've commented on like 3 of your videos because I like your style and reviews a lot...I remember starting off with the cheaper brands and working my way up to the better products. And you have helped me decide on yet more products to add to my collection. The salon guy products are next to try out.
Doesn't really matter much to me what the texture of the product is like, as long as it performs the way it's supposed to. These were just plain terrible lol
14:22 OMG, it is the first time I see in a video of you that you throw all the products directly in the trash and that you give a flat negative opinion. And I agree. Do not those of AXE test their own products? I mean, just formulate them and take them out for sale? I think the only "good" thing about AXE products is their packaging hahah. Great vid as always, Matt!
For another budget stuff episode, you should review the Every Man Jack hair products, such as their fiber and clay products. They both claim to have high hold and matte finish. And the products are available at walmart.
