I hate racks, I have the Rogue MonsterLite Squat rack and it's built like a tank. Suits all my needs, I have the spotter arms which Rogue tells me have been tested with 800lbs with no issues ever, and the stand has West Side hole spacing, making positioning of the spotters arms a breeze. Works fine for pullups, though I don't do kipping so I can't comment on that. IMO, save the money, get a squat stand.

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ru-vid.comUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

Great video! Shows that it if you have the space a home gym is pretty realistic. Especially considering you could get a Cap barbell for as low as $130 and some iron weights from Craigslist for $150 and the build would be around $1100.

I actually built my home gym using Titan. I purchased their T3 short rack, bumper plate set, monolift arms, and flat bench. I did spend more on my bar (Rogue Ohio Power Bar.) Actual steel plates I for from WF Athletic Supply (Cap Plates. Not very snug, and variance of up to 1 pound, but less than $1.10/lbs after shipping.) DIY Platform. I'm happy with it.

If you’re going to be bolting the T3 through a platform (wood/mat) I don’t recommend the anchor kit that Titan sells. I had them but ended up going to Home Depot for some longer anchors

These are great videos.I'm buying some Titan landmine handles and other accessories,so we'll see how Titan does with those.Not any big money invested.That being said,both Sears and Dick's Sportin g Goods offer a nice,sturdy power rack for around $400.00.Nice solid j-hooks safety racks added in.

I have the HD power rack and I love it. My barbell and bumpers are from wright equipment. I love them but I never see any reviews on them. If you could do a review on the barbell and/or bumpers from wright that would be awesome. I would love to hear your take on how they compare to the more expensive options such as rogue.

X-3 vs T-3? anything major that the X-3 allows? I know it is 3x3 and that means that the rogue attachments will work, but how are the attachments from Titan?

2ft or 3ft depth on the rack? Which is better? Which re-sells better? On the height, does a short or tall rack re-sell better? You've mentioned that you sold some stuff in the past so I'm curious to know what you think based on your experience.

I went even cheaper and got the wall mounted (foldable) short T-3 rack, it's been great so far, I also got their flat bench and have been impressed with that as well. Also, if you use Honey, it adds another discount when you buy from the Titan website!!!

Do you have any recommendations that don’t need to be bolted to the ground for a finished basement gym? I’m interested in strength and conditioning and am a 110lb woman... so I don’t need anything crazy... just solid with pull-up bar, bumper plate storage and the ability to bench, squat, etc. Thanks so much for all of your great videos.

What Do You Think About Rep Fitness Equipment?

I know this is a year late but for anyone else just coming across this, all of my equipment is REP and it is VERY TOP quality and SUPER cheap for the quality especially around Black Friday or a holiday sale of some sort. I paid close to $1/pound for their bumper plates for Black Friday, and I also got a 190k tensile 20kg Olympic barbell for like a little over $200 after shipping/fees and stuff and I slam that bitch on the ground constantly and it is still brand new like day 1. Same with the bumper plates they don't look like they have had much use at all and trust me, they do! The only thing is they don't stay in stock of their old models' attachments like the lat pulldown attachment for my specific power rack which is very frustrating because now I have to buy the Titan Lat Tower v2 (or whatever its called). They haven't replied to me too well either. So a couple cons but if you can get a hold of something they have I'd get it, just get all the attachments you want for it before they come out with a newer model. They also charge shipping and it's not overly expensive so that's a really good thing they got going for them because that's how they stay so cost-friendly.

I picked up a 1/2 rack at dicks sporting goods for 300 and a bench for 120. A rogue 2.0 barbell for 265 Also bought some steel Olympic plates at Sears for 400 And I bought an exercise bike for cardio that was 300 That's my home gym And you know what I really doubt if you muscle knows the difference between a rogue plate and a chunk of cement. But I will say this as far as looks goes and as a status symbol rogue is where it's at

Thanks Sam. I was sort of thinking that too. The price tag on the torque fitness tank sled is $1,400 though. Ouch. The XPO Sled is a little better at $699, but I just don't know if I would use this enough to justify spending that kind of money. A rower, treadmill or bike? Sure.

I picked up a pair of Titan 45 bumpers (cheap ones). Decent for the price. I'm totally changing out all of my plates to bumpers after using bumpers. It is intimidating as fuck when you drop a 45 and it almost crushes your foot or your rack. Bumpers for life man!

i don't know man, i've always thought of black 45 Gold's Gym classic round iron plates as the Standard, Arnold is doing his curls a couple of feet away, bumper plates feels like girl's plate, you know with all the fancy colours n stuff, you could always get a couple of steel tri-grip 45's but i wouldn't wanna drop them either since they could crack at the weak spots, at least they look cool

@@soundninja99 I have all rogue stuff... Other than some Titan chains... Titan is garbage all around. Anyone that says it's the so great... Cheap and or poor. Sorjr it's about as silly as saying a yugo is as good as a Mercedes... Yes both an engine, 4 wheels, doors etc... But night and day. I'm amazed how so many act like buying a rogue rack is like spending a 100k. Maybe spend more time getting a better job if a few hundred bucks Is such a big deal. Titan manages to screw everything up even chains... Not worth the hassle

I regret buying my Titan x3 rack, I spent $3k because I added all the options got the Olympic bar, curl bar weight set extra weights and I had a problem with one of the 16 items I ordered they refused to pay the $34.98 in return shipping! After spending that much and to receive that kind of customer service I recommend not doing business with them.

I have their X3 Squat stands with extension and spotter arms, flat bench, and GHD. Ive been very pleased with those items. I would not buy a barbell or weights from them. Spend more on the barbell, and less on the weights. Plenty of used iron on craigslist. Another good vid tho Coop!

My whole gym setup is less than your weights. Seems like you are trying to build a professional gym when in reality people don't need that much money to build a good gym depending on how handy they are. I built dip bars, pull up bars, attach kettlebells to a barbells when I ran out of weights because I didn't have money for them. I just don't want people seeing this and thinking they need a gym membership or spend thousands on a gym when it can be done for a fraction of that. Granted your gym would last forever and handle any weight you could lift safely. But why not start small and work your way up. Most people start at under 200lbs. You don't need a 2klb rack or a $200 bar when a $30 bar and a cheaper rack.

I had heard there were some issues with slow shipping, but had also heard that a lot these had improved. Not in my case. I am saving upwards of $400 and was able to get a short rack that Rogue doesn't offer in the 3x3 power racks...but I'm still really frustrated.

Just think that Titan T-3 rack has pretty much the same specifications than rogue R-3; T-3 is $429 free shipping and R-3 is $695 + $125 shipping

X-3 would be comparable to Rogue Monster Lite. Some of the 5/8" pin attachments can be used on both.

If you go with titan equipment you'll save hundreds of dollars. The only thing I wouldn't buy from titan would be their barbells. Get a barbell from rouge.

yeah but you get a stronger rack that is much more sturdy, even when fully titaned(:) ) the t3 is still very wobbly unless bolted to the floor. also the only add ons you really might need are spotter arms, saftey straps, and a monolift, all of which are the same price as on the t3

Men's barbells are generally 40 to 45 lbs with a grip diameter of 28 to 30 mm women's barbells are usually 25 to 30 lbs with a grip diameter of 25 to 27mm

Buying a home gym is fun, and you can convince yourself that it will save you time and be great for powerlfiting bc you’ll never sit around and wait for a rack. I built a craigslist home gym for $400. I used it for about 6 months. I’m in a small room in my basement. After that time I realized that I am sacrificing my gains with the home gym. Your back developments is definitely going to suffer if your only doing rows and pull-ups, the same movement for months. Anyways... I just got a new membership to a huge gym for $30 a month. I still have the home gym but I don’t use it unless I’m short on time. Buying a home gym for $1500 is ridiculous, you don’t need bumpber plates or anything new. A home gym shouldn’t replace a nice, open commercial gym ever IMO
