How do we contact you? I have a car you would like that you've never had on your channel, and I don't have much time left on this Earth. I'd rather it be sold cheap (not given away, but much cheaper than you'll find one) to you guys than it be sold to some random I don't know who won't respect it. It's Australian, has two doors, an LS, manual, 80k on the clock, rare paint colour, plus a few other things. I know the people I will leave it to will just trade it in, I may as well sell it to you guys and just give them the cash, I know you'll do the right thing with it. I don't have Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media except Linkedin. It's located in Tassie though. And no, I'm not selling it to random RU-vid commenters, so don't ask.

I was in Japan on a business trip about a dozen years ago. My Japanese colleague and I hired a driver to take to some customers. They were supposed to use a Crown like yours and I was excited to ride in it. Then they show up in a Century. The Crowns big brother with a V12. These are typically only used by politicians and mobsters. It was winter and I was wearing a black wool topcoat and a black Fedora. The looks that we got were priceless.

Actually purchased for majesta, test fit them, and were just… ok. Then put them on the rx7 and nearly fell over. You’ll see it soon as we’ve got that project on the boil.

@@Agretnope. They aren’t purists but they’re not the type of people wreck a nice clean rx7 with an engine swap. If it was a rusted out piece of scrap metal old generation rx7 that’s blown up and not just broken down, they probably would swap it. But not this car, it’s too nice.

Your flights from the UK to Sydney are probably cheaper than Perth WA to anywhere east in Australia. Im in Adelaide at the moment. Fly back to Perth end of the week, my return ticket was $830.

As someone who has fit a lot of those integrated style boxes over the years. Finding somewhere for the module and harnesses is always the hardest bloody part. They were a common install for Toyota's that didnt have factory navigation for a number of years, and for caravan camera to factory screen integration too.

The company Ive had the most experience with, Is "advanced ice". But Im unsure if they make anything for rx-8's. There website doesnt say so, but it also doesnt advertise other products that Ive personally installed. So might get lucky. Sorry couldnt be more helpful. I have no personal affiliation with them

As an owner of a Silvia S15 and GRS204 Crown Athlete, this makes me very happy to see! Also, love that insight you gave with the piggyback system for the touchscreen. I have a very interesting audio setup in my Crown that you two fellow audio nerds would love and I got in touch with the company in Japan that installed it and they told me that, to keep the function display unit working, they had to install my double-DIN head unit and re-wire the factory radio into the rear of the car! Without the factory radio, you apparently lose all functionality of the screen that does air con, DTV, GPS, G-book, etc.

The ultimate bargain luxury car is the VW Phaeton. It was built to compete with luxury Mercs, and BMWs. It has a W12 engine and goes for under 10 grand. Would love to see one on mcm.

Back in college a mate had a VIP lexus GS and he notched out the tubs and suspension mounts to get his car lower, it was also a V8 model with straight pipes,deep dish rims, the lot

Wishing the participants of the VIP thing all the luck, can't join the 50 bucks thingy this time. On another note, I used tablecloth and magnets to make DIY courtains for an old accord wagon. They just stick in the rear windows with the magnets, you can move them around and all. Thing actually gives a VIP feel with them.

Yup, I'd prefer wheels with a machined lip and a flush fitment. You are right about ride height, I to don't think it's necessary to over lower any car as it will high-center and scrape the underside of the car. Cheers!

Was it a blown fuse regarding the end of the video? I would hazard a guess that many additional harnesses on the factory radios fuse would surely be testing the limits of it! The first hook up loom with the black wires going into conduit is an old Nav/TV swticher. There will be a button that conduit leads to which would allow you to sit in traffic or just driving in general watching TV channels. I would suggest removing it as I don't imagine you'll be using it often! We see them a lot over here in NZ with imports of these from Japan. Super common and in general if we're working with a clients car, we'll remove them as it leaves less stuff to squeeze behind the head unit!

Every time I've seen you use "VIP build" I kept expecting to finally see it made into a VIP build lol it keeps confusing me. JDM VIP is a real thing, slammed lowered, chambered, huge chrome wheels, blacked out window tints, typically black paint. But this has just been "luxury build" til now. Glad to finally see something "VIP" actually happening now lol

What are peoples opinions of the Crown Majesta like in Japan? I understand you guys have some emissions stuff that makes owning a V8 very expensive over there? Is it considered an uncool old mans car like the Toyota Corolla over here? I remember reading that someone here got a Toyota Crown Athlete and their Japanese girlfriends mum laughed at it saying it's such a common car over there?

MAAAAANNN!!! I wish that Interface kit was available 9yrs ago. The EMV in my Mark 2 was soo unusable that I could only use the radio and the AC controls. The DVD unit and the Tv Ariel and all the other functions was just sitting there.

Reminds me of the time I sat in an Audi A6 at the Chrysler dealership and started putting the seat back and it just kept going until it hit the rear seat. I'm 6'10/2.08m and there was over a foot between my foot with my legs stretched fully out and the pedals. I swear the reason the seat can go back so far is so some executive can get head from a street hooker without getting out of his seat... there was definitely enough room for someone to be in the floor in front of me, let alone someone shorter than me.
