This is my family's budget for April. We are continuing our low-spend year and I should be heading back to work this month.

Love your transparency with your figures! I agree the 1st quarter has gone so quick. It's Autumn in Australia so I can say I'm not looking forward to winter 🌧

GM! great bwm! ugh, we have a pool and the cost of the chemicals is more than i thought it would be, we got it last summer and i couldnt believe what we were spending in shock and chlorine. our 3 boys love it though and it saves us from going to the Y.

Yes my house came with an in-ground pool and it has been so much work and so expensive! I did not realize the electricity needed to run a pool pump. Hopefully a more efficient one will save us some of the cost.

It is good that you are tracking where money is going, but it's time to analyze the categories and make tougher decisions on spending. It will be almost impossible to get to your goals with this current income and expense set up. The mortgage and car notes are really high for the income coming in and leave little room for savings and misc expenses.

I definitely agree. We jumped into the car purchase a bit too soon and I did not anticipate having to pay for daycare. Fortunately I will be going back to a full time salary in May and the car loan was for only 3 years, so only 2.5 more to go!
