So many memories coming to my head. Going to the movies in Cabildo, or in Vuelta de Obligado, at the evening after work, just to cut the week. Picking some pizza or pasta, or Freddo or Persico, on the way back home. Walking, at 11.30 in the evening, on a nice warm night, or in a cold open night full of stars. Familiar environment, totally safe. Not may cities in the world can offer that.

Hola chicos, soy nueva en el canal y me sorprende mucho la decisión de uds de venir a vivir a Bs. As., hace poco mas de un año me mude del barrio de Coghlan (pegado a Belgrano) donde viví casi toda mi vida, les recomiendo ir caminando o en el tren hasta la estación de Coghlan y caminar por sus calles, tiene casas realmente hermosas que fueron realizadas en la época de la construcción del ferrocarril algunas son de estilo ingles muy bien conservadas, es un barrio pequeño que no ha cambiado tanto, les deseo mucha suerte en esta nueva etapa!

I am not from Belgrano, but lived there many, many years. My girlfriend, now my wife, lived in Recoleta and when we decided to move together we had to choose the place, Belgrano won. My wife said the exact same thing, just as we spent no more than a couple of days in my department, "I feel that I fit in Belgrano much more than I fit in Recoleta". Maybe coincidence, besides that I don't know many people who lived in Belgrano having a bad experience. The excitement of finding a new place in which you feel like home is amazing, congratulations guys, and enjoy it.
In any case, historically (I didn't check these last few years) the most expensive areas of capital are San Isidro, Belgrano and Recoleta. Then come areas like Palermo, Barrio Norte, Balvanera, and then others.
San Isidro is not part of the Capital Federal / Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (C.A.B.A.), is out of the City, the north side of de Provincia de Buenos Aires. Is not so far away from CABA, you can go there in train in about 20/30 minutes from Belgrano.
Los barrios mas caros de Argentina son para mi Puerto Madero (barrio de multimillonarios) Nordelta Tigre (también solo para millonarios, Villa La Angostura Neuquén, San Isidro, Recoleta , Palermo (como dicen en USA esta overrated) para mi por el precio, Country Jockey Club (Córdoba), Las Malvinas (Rosario) y algunos más. Great video! I've decided not to live in Argentina full-time but only six months out of the year (October to March). I'll definitely need to rent a furnished apartment. Let's hope this is possible without a DNI. Since I won't have a guarantor, I shall probably have to rent through AirB&B which I have never used before. Since I can remain in Argentina legally for only up to 90 days, I shall have to make the trek to Colonia. I'm surprised that Argentine immigration allows people to leave Argentina for a day, return, and begin another 90-day stay. I already know that I want to live in Recoleta.
Por lo general, la mayoría de los departamentos, no están amueblados. Vos te mudas, y te llevás tus muebles al departamento o casa nuevo. Siempre fue así. Ahora, está cambiado un poco eso; Y podés conseguir algún departamento, ya amueblado
WTF!!!! one bedroom apartment is 1800usd in WASHINGTON??, THATS FUCKING INSANE!, how much you have to earn to live in Washington?. i'm an argentinian from Buenos Aires and here we think rent prices went to hell, a 2 bedroom apartment in a normal neighborhood (not a high class neighborhood, not a dangerous zone) it's around 350/600 usd, it's always been that much but the Peso lost so much value that now to get to that number in dollars it's A LOT. Most Argentinians don't make not even 500usd a month so for us, those numbers are outrageous!.

You are literally in the country with most therapist per capita in the world!. But i would guess it's not as easy to find a therapist in english here in Buenos Aires... so that's a really cool fact for me as an argentinian. I love therapy, and i think almost everyone should do it.
Soy de una Provincia llamada Entre Rios, al norte de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, a solo 220 km del Obelisco pero de joven vivi en Palermo (vine a CABA a estudiar en la UBA como muchas personas del resto del país) y luego en Belgrano, cerca de la Estación Juramento. CABA es muy linda, tiene barrios hermosos y algunos muy tranquilos, Villa Urquiza, Devoto, etc. Ya cuando decidí formar mi familia y casarme me mudé a Zona Sur, en el Conurbano. Hay muchos lugares seguros (intenten no sugestionarse con las noticias que salen en los medios de comunicación), hermosos y con mucha accesibilidad de medios de transporte por acá, cuando tengan ganas, investiguen estas localidades -Adrogué, Lomas de Zamora -Banfield, Las Lomitas- Ezeiza, algunas zonas de Monte Grande... un poco más allá Cañuelas- y se van a enamorar aún más de nuestro país y sin mencionar los lugares y ciudades bellísimas y bien desarrolladas del interior de nuestra bella Nación. Veo tus videos desde hace unos meses y me alegra muchísimo la decisión que han tomado. Que sean muy felices!!

Great video, I wonder what the requirements are to get a DNI and residency. Would they consider you as a local and give you a better price if you had a DNI? That is a great deal of an apartment because most locals prefer to AirBNB to make more money renting out the apartments. You have a nice China Town in Belgrano as well. Lovely dog, he's liking the couch for sure. Have things got more expensive recently? PS Please try to get a portable or a bolt on C02 or smoke detector... I noticed that most homes or apartments in Latin America don't have these... Cheers
I don’t think I’d get a better price if I had a dni, because I’m still not from here. Things have gone up in price but for normal day things it hasn’t affected us too much. And yes! That’s one of the things that we need!

So Americans get 90 days in Argentina as a tourist…can we get an extension after that ? You are staying for a year so curious what we can do to stay longer. We are retired and traveling from Mexico to Argentina in search of our favorite retirement city. The only real downside we see to BA is a few very hot months….we prefer cool weather. Thx !
We mostly paid in cash once people arrived, others use Mercado Pago but since we don’t have an account we couldn’t. Setting up delivery was pretty easy and quick since most people who were selling things wanted it gone ASAP!

Te facilitaría mucho hacer el tramite de residencia, les otorgarían un DNI -a éste se le denomina "precario"- hasta el definitivo (ninguno de los documentos te invalida tu nacionalidad estadounidense), con pasaporte argentino podrías ir si quieres a Cuba, Rusia, Bielorrusia, China, etc, y no se registraría en tu pasaporte de USA; oriente medio y oriente e irías como argentina sin tener "inconvenientes".

How were you able to get a long-term residency visa for Argentina? Normally you only get a 3 months visa that can be extended by 3 months for a total of 6 months.
