Buenos Aires Argentina my first impression as a Black man in this country 

Hey and welcome to BA! I could tell you (in my not so good english) a little bit about May Square (plaza de Mayo). It's an historical and political important place, because there the people express their feelings about political events. For example, in the middle there is a circle where the grandmothers of May square march peacefully claiming about their missings relatives during the dictatorship's time (those are still represented by the drawings of scarves on the floor). Also in the pink house there are several balconies where Evita Peron get out to say hello or talk to the people of that time (that they love her so much), she was a political person (the wife of one of ours presidents). In front of de square there are several important buildings like the metropolitan cathedral (it looks like a roman or greek building), the "Cabildo" where the first goverment of independence worked (now is a museum), the national bank, the tax authorities's palace and the city hall. Another thing that can tell you is that "The obelisk" was built in 1936 to commemorate the fourth centenary of the first founding of the city in that specific place because of what you read about the flag. And the "9 de Julio Street" is one of the widest avenues in the world. I hope you enjoy your time here, despite the crazy weather of the last days. Big hugs!
