Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. Buenos Aires is located on the western shore of the Río de la Plata, on South America's southeastern coast. "Buenos Aires" can be translated as "fair winds" or "good airs". Called the “Paris of South America,” Buenos Aires is one of the most cosmopolitan cities of South America. The city has a population of 3.5 million people, and is the bustling hub of Argentina. Some of the most visited attractions of Buenos Aires are Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Recoleta Cemetery, La Boca, La Bombonera, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, the Buenos Aires Obelisk and the Galileo Galilei Planetarium.

Good video; just two things: Casa rosada it is not residence, it's the workplace of the president; avoid going Tigre on sunday, crowded of locals, go any day. Puerto de frutos market, which it's great it is open every day, except monday.

We’ll be visiting Buenas Aires in March 2023, at the beginning of a cruise aboard Seabourn Venture. I’m trying to gain some familiarity with the city so that I can enjoy my short visit more. I’m interested in learning more about 20th century Buenas Aires, specifically Evite Peron.

Nice video, but while I understand that you can't cover everything, I find it kind of astonishing that more than a full minute goes to Bombonera but there's no mention of Teatro Colón or the CCK, two other extraordinary landmarks of the city and its cultural life.

Just a word of warning to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. There is crime in the form of mugging/theft. A friend and I were walking down the steps to the subte (subway) station and a young man pulled my wallet out of my front pocket. We ran up the stairs to catch him but he was gone at a five-point street intersection. Luckily I was not hurt , I could have been pushed down the concrete stairs but luckily I hung on to the railing. However, my money and credit cards were stolen. Luckily also I left my passport back at our apartment. This was about noon on a Sunday. So I just want tourists to be aware. The police do not speak English so there was no point in reporting it. I do want to warn tourists from America, Canada, and Europe to be aware. Little thieves roam the streets of Buenos Aires!!!!

Im sorry of your bad experience. Never had a violent robbery like that in 30 years living in BA. A crazy guy attacked me here in Barcelona where I live now. In the middle of a touristic park near Montjuic. Nobody helped me. Also this city is not secure for tourists anymore, so take care when you come. PS: Buenos Aires has a special touristic police station. I think is located in Recoleta.

@@RonvanRutten As with any big city there are some areas where pickpocketing is an issue. Here basically do as we locals, always carry backpacks or purses in front of you or where you can see it and avoid carrying or displaying too much any valuables.

Currently visiting Buenos Aires. This video misses some points. There's no mention of San Telmo area which is really nice (the San Telmo markeplace has great food stalls too) with antiques and shops. Also, Palermo Soho, although a bit fake, is quite interesting. As for the obelisk I was not aware there's a platform and there is certainly no mention of it onsite so I suspect you can"t go. If you are visiting the city I would suggest to do a bike tour. If you want a very smart guide check Social & Cultural Buenos Aires on trip advisor. I did the San Telmo tour (amazing when it comes to history) and the Palermo tour with Nicolas (anthropologist) and learned a lot. I also did Recoleta with Pablo, it was less interesting but still OK. I did 2 other tours with 2 different companies, one "free" walking tour which was really not that interesting, and another on bike which was also sightseiing without perspective. My advice : go to social.cultural on IG and ask . They do spanish & english. Nicolas is great. Overall I've been here 6 days, staying 2 days more to see the Japanese Garden (not seen in the video) and some other stuff. I believe the minimum one should spend in BA is 3 full days. Also, avoid the hop on/hop off bus tours. I did one of those, they are terrible and give you zero perspective. PS I saw a commentary that describes the place as "dangerous" honestly in 6 days I have not witnessed anything. I have been walking many miles per day, some at night, some quite late, never ran into trouble. Of course I don't have a backpack, I dont wear jewelry nor carry a big camera and when I check google maps I do it quickly so as not to look like a dumb and lost tourist. I would not describe the city as dangerous at all, and I have been carrying 300 K pesos on me all day plus a last gen iphone. If you don't look like a target, no arrow will fly your way.
