Buffalo Bills made 2 trades, no picks: GM Beandon Beane discusses 1st round. The Bills will open the second round Friday night, if they don't make more trades.
The facts are: D. Samuel - 2nd round. AJ Brown - 2nd round. Diggs - 4th round. Kupp - 3rd round. Nacua - 5th round. St. Brown - 4th round. "Ammo". Beane said that what, 5 or 6 times? By end of the day today, I think we are going to see what his plan is, because yes, he does have a plan. Not only did Beane increase the value of his draft capital as a whole; ie, what is truly the difference between 28 and 33.. For all intents and purposes those picks hold the same sort of value. I truthfully think 33 is more valuable than 28, as now he took a 10 minute selection and turned it into a 17 hour pick, with the ability to work up all sorts of deals. What if he grabs McConkey or Mitchell at 33 and then uses said "Ammo" to trade into 35 with Arizona or 36 with Washington to take Mckinstry, Dejean, Franklin or Newton. Or how about trading 33 and next year's 2nd from Minnesota to the 49ers for Iaiyuk, while then still trading into 35 or 36 for one of the other players I listed above. I think Beane is exactly where he wants to be and it's going to be an exciting night to be a Bills fan.
Exactly, I believe Beane has a plan set in place and he's just going through the steps. In a way it's rather ingenious that Buffalo will avoid paying first round money on a player this year. Gets extra picks to work with, and day 2 I think will raise some eyebrows. If you've shown in the past you can get a Diggs, then a Higgins, Deeebo, or Ayuik pursuit is certainly not out of realm of possibility.
If you can get that same Draft Pick in Round 2, and pick up an extra 2nd high up in the 2nd Round. Beane made the right move. But the "right move" can only be proven correct, if Beane's draft choices pan out over time. Look folks, sentimentalism of drafting a 1st round pick might sound good. But when you are 28th of 32 teams. The BEST OF THE BEST Top picks are already gone. So please, let reality come a knockin'. Beane got an extra pick in the 2nd Round. It being a very early second round pick, plus the Bill's 2nd Round pick. The difference between a 28th PICK and the very first 2nd Round picks is extremely similar. The prestige of the 1st Round Player selected, but at 28th spot is what was traded. You need a WORK HORSE, not a Name Plate. I think, Beane made the right move. Get more PICKS, instead of living off one extremely late 1st round pick.
Sometimes you can find a great player in the 4th and 5th rounds Beane has a plan the best player's of this draft went in the first 25 picks but there is still alot of good talent that can be developed to be great in the later rounds this move made sense for where we we're picking and who was still left on the board the next 2 day's will define if this was a good move or not but I billieve in the process GO BILLS..
I have NO faith in the Bills ability to find quality players in later rounds...ZERO. Their later rounds picks, for the most part have turned out to be mediocre players at best...and plain bad at worst. This has the makings of one of the all time worst drafts. Stop talking to me about "board value". There is no "value" in a guy that can't play at an NFL level. I don't care how many bodies you accumulate.
Brandon Beane there's nothing you can say in this damn interview that makes any sense to give Kansas City backpack and that receiver I would have rather took somebody in the draft then to give them that pic
Either way worthy was going to the chiefs.... bills didn't want him. Ravens really wanted a CB and worthy would be a bad fit for the 49ers so I doubt they'd get him. Chiefs got fleeced honestly. Also people care too much about the speed. It doesn't matter when you have bad routes, can't get off the press, and have a lot of drops which worthy struggles with all of that.
Maybe someday the Buffalo Bills will be able to afford to hire some young interns to run around with a microphone to stick into the reporters faces so we can hear the questions and conversation.
The Bills def need to take 2 WR tonight. I think most of us understand what he did and it was actually smart. We do need an influx of youth. I know we have to worry about our team but being tied to KC again is disappointing. Worthy will be awesome. Reid knows how to get him open in space. Smh
Some people are grading Bean , How can we grade Beans draft when he has not picked, That bothers me. We need a bonified @1 WR who JA 8s the go to guy like he did with Diggs. We really don't know if Shakir will be that role. Or Kincaid these guys are 2nd year tier.
When he says value its not like the 18 pack of expiring chicken breasts you buy at walmart. He's saying there were similar rated players at the position remaining, so he could improve some picks and still get one. He doesnt get stuck on a guy like the panthers owner notoriously does (Bryce young over CJ stroud and then again this year) . He's objective
IF they can play. Doesn't matter how many picks...how much "draft board value", or youth you accumulate...IF they can't play. The Hamlins...Jacksons...Neal's...Dotson's...Ray Ray's ain't gonna cut it. I'd rather they get 3/4 VERY GOOD players...than 7/8 MEDIOCRE players that couldn't make most teams...which is what the majority of their later rounds picks have been.
@@thebops4180 I don't have a problem with following the lead of Kansas. Only one problem...KC is REALLY good at picking late round picks...Buffalo is REALLY not.
@@randymccloud5743 i feel your disappointment about last night but you know your statement doesn't really hold up to scrutiny man. That's anger not realism. We are a fraction from beating KC. We need little. Let's see the whole picture and where it gets us over the coming months before final judgment on Beane.
@@BillsMafiaExperience I would suggest that it is YOU who isn't being realistic. We WERE a fraction from beating KC. The CURRENT version of THIS team, is nowhere close to beating KC. We lost a LOT...a "little" ain't gonna get it done. Could we be a "fraction" from beating KC again...after the draft...maybe. We shall see.
Sorry, but that’s hard to swallow givening up a first round pick .😮 I hope he turns things around tonight but that’s a lot to turn around how embarrassing.
Odds are Xavier Worthy would have been drafted by the Chiefs at 32 even if the Chiefs hadn’t traded up. The way I see it, it’s silly to get emotional about what likely would have happened anyways. The Bills got more draft picks and there are still outstanding receivers available.
The way you see it is wrong. If Kansas City (who has more inside information then the general public dream to have) knew he would be there at 32, then why trade up? You think Andy Reid got impatient and moved up four spots cause he needed to take a shit or his wife wanted him home? Ooooor maybe they knew there were a few other teams looking for receiver help as well? They way I see it, they were right as SF and Carolina both drafted a WR.
@@RandyMarsh0301I gurantee your "inside knowledge" is fake or pure speculation. Teams trade up to secure the player they want. They have absolutely no idea what other teams are actually going to do. There's a reason Worthy was seen as a 3rd or later pick before his 40 time. Look at how John Ross worked out. Speed doesn't translate to the NFL when you struggle in every other category. Worthy has been plagued by drops up until his last year. With this we have 3rd round pick and 2 second rounders. AD Mitchell is still there and has been widely regarded as the most nfl ready reciever. The bills need to win now, not get a guy that will take 2+ years to be a #1. Or they Take Cooper which is a top 15 ranked DB who can play corner and safety and still have pick 60 and ammo to trade up more in the second round for a reciever. The trades the bills did were great. I would have liked to trade up for Thomas but other than that we're in a good spot
@@RandyMarsh0301reid always goes for speed. It works for mahomes, personally i think they need someone like keon coleman thats big strong and can go up and get a fastball that josh throws. I think this move was genius. Worthy only brings speed to the table
So you trade out of first round for 3 picks? There better be a better pick or as good then worthy out there. You need to give Josh a weapon in place of Diggs
Beane has lost the plot. This is an absolutely dumbfounding move. These guys have Josh Allen and have never drafted a first round WR. It’s insane. Done. Just trade Josh at this point. We’re 6 years out of a window again. I’ll go root for Allen at the Giants.
You did not do your job Brandon. The process is broke. Your job was to replace a number one receiver. And you did not and no point in this draft can you turn it around. Because the primary goal was a number one receiver defensive tackles have been picked over Edge rushers have been picked over. So you failed all three phases interested back for nothing and then gave Kansas City a gift with a shiny red f****** bow on the top of it and people don't understand why we keep losing to Kansas City you don't trade a pick to Kansas City for them to get a speedy receiver to keep taking our teeth on her throat. Bad business
What type of a moron are you to think that way after the first round? What a joke. Beane is a to level g.m. in the nfl, you are some nonsense guy who seems to overvalue your opinion by a long shot. Pick another team man, you ain't mafia
The last time that Buffalo traded back with KC, KC took Patrick Mahones. Obviously Xavier Worthy will be an all-pro receiver in a few years. Buffalo could have taken Worthy or even my choice, Ricky Pearsall from Florida, if they had stayed put. Buffalo should have done Josh Allen a big favor and traded him to the Vikings when they had the chance.
What an awful GM ...he is distroing our team.every team got better but the Bills...how can he trade with KC and make them even better ...it tells me they have done so much mismanagement it's becoming obvious they are rebuilding ...bills will not make the playoffs this year!
OMG I know he's so awful LMAO.. are you serious? Did you hear what they said that they didn't even have 25 players listed for first-round grades? Were you calling him an awful GM last year when he moved up and stole Dalton Kincaid from the Dallas Cowboys? Or when they brought in the other supporting casts on one Year's deals IE Leonard Floyd, Batavious Murray or Damien Harris... trust me they know what they're doing
I’m embarrassed to have him as a GM.. he’ll probably trade back tomorrow to. He believes in Josh to much, to where he doesn’t believe he needs any offensive help
OMG LMAO the sky is falling in Buffalo! Did you hear what they said they did not even have 25 players listed for first-round value I believe that this general manager has proven to us time and again they know exactly what they're doing you all need to slow your roll and let them work.
