@@jasonatwood7071 I wouldn't call currently being 4-7 in a tough division a "decent year" by any means. Last year was 3-13-1 and this year doesn't look like they're that much better. The fact that most of these losses were within a score doesn't bode well either. Also, countless coaches have gotten fired after two bad seasons (in recent years it happened to the Giants)

I’m a long time lions fan, and since social media is popular I’ve seen so many opposing fans say the exact same thing. It’s frustrating because we go through these cycles but we never turn the corner. We never actually win this game in a season, we don’t learn from the mistakes made and win big games the next season. We’re always right around the corner yet somehow a planet away.

The lions have a lot of injuries, so, I mean Dan Campbell isn't making excuses the team isn't making excuses. I think should they finish with 8 wins, I believe that's something for the fans to be proud of considering how they started the season. When they have the 2023 draft they need to draft high value ready to play defensive play makers, and maybe another wide receiver in the mid rounds. If they do that, in 2023 they could and should be competing for a playoff spot, they have to get better next year, and for me that means making a serious run at the playoffs.

These Lions kind of remind me of the 2017 Bills. The ones who broke the playoff drought, because they believed!

@@newagain9964 all great QB's miss easy throws, as their not machines, but the great ones, like Mahomes, and Jared Allen make a lot more than they miss. Goff lead the Rams to the Conference final or Superbowl, and if you surround him with a good enough team, he can win it for you, and he likely will. He's not in the same league as Mahomes or Allen, but I'd say, good enough to win with.

Diggs may have become underrated now because of the emergence of younger WRs like Jefferson and older guys like Cooper Kupp and Davante Adams. It wasn't that long ago where people were arguing about whether or not Diggs may be the best WR in the league. Well, let's take the different path and run for a first down, or throw a dink pass for a first down, and two plays later kick an FG to tie the game as the clock expires. We then go to overtime. I don't think the Lions have the odds on their side for a win in overtime. If they complete that long pass, maybe the receiver, gets tackled on the spot, or maybe he scores a TD. He had good separation on the defender, but Goff threw a back shoulder pass while the receiver wanted the ball towards the endzone. Poor communication cost the Lions the game. Even if they completed a back shoulder toss at the 5-yd line, there were 28 seconds on the clock, which translates into three, maybe four, more plays to try and win the game outright. If they score 7, Campelll is a daring genius.

Totally agree that was a horrendous play call after the great 4th & 1 end around. As a Pitt fan, it pains me to say, but I see why Belichick is the Goat. He would never allow a teams best player (Diggs) to be defended one on one in the most crucial times. That first throw to him was a great catch. But he should’ve been double teamed. They did it earlier in the year. It was 4th and 1 and they threw a bomb to Chark (he's not worth 10 million this season) and it was incomplete. Campbell does make some boneheaded decisions sometimes. Clock management is definitely NOT one of his strongest skillsets. Running needless plays before the 2 minute warning, throwing a deep pass on 3rd and 1, leaving too much time on the clock for other teams ...especially a team like the bills, who have a mobile qb with a cannon for an arm.

and a missed face mask call against the bills in closing moments of game lions had to take 3 points because of no call.

Can also run, block, throw.. he’s likely one of the best WR’s to ever play the game. He gets my vote. Stats wise, Hill is leading and is a game behind Diggs.
