This song makes me embrace my sadness, makes me happy to let it out. Makes me feel stronger and happy to be sad sometimes. Sad but uplifting at the same time.
I ain't happy about sometimes I feel like shit. I rather feel like shit than be full of shit. Suicidal Tendencies. Different than Buffalo Tom but both deep and meaningful
This song was my introduction to Buffalo Tom back in 1992, and I was hooked from then on and love them to this day. It's still so amazing, even all these years later.
I liked being sad and alone during my teen years. When life was about tangible ideals and romantic innocent images of what life was and meant. Now only captured in tears illicited by those lost moments and innocence, In a dark room, while everyone sleeps, i listen and fewl things i had forgotten i lost so long ago. Staying up until 2am Sunday night to record 120minutes off MTV. Thank you for that
I came here after seeing Pearl Jam cover this at Fenway a couple nights ago with BT's lead singer Bill Janovitz. What an amazing performance of a great song! I'm a BT fan for sure now..
I feel you. was a lonely and confused guy back then. Im still confused but more content. I get more happy when i hear this one than i did. Age will do that to ya
Seen these guys in 92, at Melbourne Uni. What I can remember caught the V-Line from Bendigo to Melbs. Had one of the biggest Sunday Sesh's in history at the Clyde Hotel from about 1pm these guys played about 10pm. Fair to say I was pretty fck up, but enjoyed every minute of their performance. Bit of a time lapse after show but recall back on the early morning V-Line Melbs to Bendigo, hit my afternoon tutorial same day at La Trobe Uni same day."Heady Days my man Heady Days'
Lisa Loeb was doing an Instagram Live last night. Someone asked her covers she liked to perform, and I mentioned I remember her doing this with Bill wayback. She didn't perform the whole song, but she DID start doing a verse!
Sister can you hear me now The ringing in your ears I'm down on the ground My luck's been dry for years I'm lost in the dark And I feel like a dinosaur Broken face and broken hands I'm a broken man I've hit the wall I'm about to fall But I'm closing in on it I feel so weak On a losing streak Watch my taillights fade to black I read a thing about this girl She was a hermit in her world Her story was much like mine She could be my valentine And although we've never met I won't forget her yet She cut herself off from her past Now she's alone at last I feel so sick Lost love's last licks But I'm closing down on it I feel so weak On a losing streak Watch my taillights fade to black Lost my life in cheap wine Now it's quiet time Cappy Dick nor Jesus Christ Could not help my fate But I'm underneath a gun I'm singing about my past Had myself a wonderful thing But I could not make it last I've hit the wall I'm about to fall But I'm closing in on it I feel so small Underneath it all Watch my taillights fade to black Watch my taillights fade Watch my taillights fade Watch my taillights fade
Saw so many shows in Boston back in the day but never got to see Buffalo Tom. Shame. Will just have to see them this year since they are still touring haha.
Sez you! I stopped listening to new music in about 2001. I wouldn't dare to tell someone 15 years younger than me that their music is shit. Fuck off grandpa!
@e4t662 This 70's kid turns 61 this year, and Buffalo Tom rocks. Standing Room Only is tougher and late night shows are mostly a no go now, LOL! But me and my "90's kid" daughter are going to see these guys in August, 30 years after I first saw them. Keep rocking.
Epic single, one of the most haunting and its always cool saving up time in between listens, like now. u just never forget that opening electric guitar, u needed the brutality of Nirvana but u also needed this although at the time it was sort of uncool to listen to, funny that.
A 90s classic for sure. Sadly, the band no longer stays true to the original studio version when they performs it live - Janovitz dresses up the guitar part with all sorts of silly string bends and noodling around. I wish he could appreciate how utterly perfect that unadorned riff is - because I sure do.
