If you’re referring to the fact that she needs the blood of the key, it makes even less sense, since she later is shown to be reluctant to have the key bleed before the correct time, yet she earlier quite happily crushed Tara’s hand until it bled and beat Spike until he bled. Careless writing, really. It’s very contrived.

@@arc7375 actually, I don’t think it’s lazy writing at all. She never tried to bleed Dawn for some verification that she’s the key because it was obvious to her when Tara blew her cover when glory found them. (“Such pure green energy!”) She also would’ve had minimal opportunity to cut dawn or make her bleed at all, as Buffy and Willow were right there with her- whereas at the fair, Tara was alone and defenseless for quite some time. Glory had plenty of uninterrupted time to mess with her mentally and physically. Glory was also verging on withdrawal, and in need of a brain so she probably wasnt being rational. Also, in Blood Ties, Glory clearly aimed to pierce dawn before Buffy intervened and got wounded stepping in front of it. Lastly, they discuss in the last two episodes I believe that the magical separation/cloak between Ben & glory was fading, she was beginning to feel ben’s emotions, think his thoughts, & was less willing to hurt dawn (“that nagging pinch of humanity that makes me go for the hurt instead of the kill”) Even then, though she devolved after dawn got an attitude with her, she had her face pressed up against the wall, like she was trying to choke her out before her minions talked her down. And spike was already bleeding by the time he got dragged to the mansion I believe so. Tasting blood that was already spilled 🤷‍♀️

Buffy has killed humans before. Like the Order of Taraka hunters, Gwendolyn Post, etc. and others like Amy’s mother may as well be considered dead, since she had no idea what the spell would have done.

They must have crazy high horsepower.

I love Buffy and Angel and love their reactions and critique. It’s funny. If you don’t like it, don’t watch and take the time to comment.
