KonicavaBR it’s only cringe because your an immature bitch who’s obviously not mature enough to deal with serious situations that happen in this show. This show isn’t for kids lmao this show isn’t the Disney channel bitch! Haha
While I absolutely love Buffy and the show defined my adolescence I have to disagree about it being the best. In my opinion The Vampire Diaries is the best vampire franchise then Buffy.
@Kate Ford I agree Vampire Diaries is the best for vampires, they show off their powers and the lore of it all in the best way. Buffy is 2nd place though.
Bro my favorite was the first three seasons with angel. After he got his own show I watched Buffy but it definitely wasn't better then angel. Well to me only.
@@trunzlerclement3227 I Already Getting Out Since The 1:30PM So & Buffy Starts At 2:00PM & When I Caming Out From 🏫 I Leaving Running 🏃 So Quickly Just For Don't Lose Any Moment From That Vampire Slayer Episode!!!
I just love how each season, the intro becomes clearer and better quality, more elements get added to it... I remember getting so excited when I would be watching a new season and see a new intro! Not gonna lie, I literally cried when I heard that first season intro again.
The series began with the 3 main characters, and the moment at the end when I realised that it was also ending with all 3 because they had each lost their love brought me to tears. One of the best series I've ever seen. I used to watch it on TV when I was a kid, but I only saw the whole series last year. I always knew it was a great series, admittedly not perfect, but not to be forgotten
@@trunzlerclement3227 Oh, I would suggest you watch it. Season 1-2 are from 1990-91. Then a prequel movie from 1992. Then season 3 in 2017 :D I will understand if it isn't for you, though it's one of my top 5 shows ever, but I think you should give it a try.
Austin Pearce Think she's a great character who makes a good impact. I think the Mayor's one of the best Big Bads too. Really like their relationship. Season 3 is pretty much perfect I think.
Austin Pearce Agree with that. Can see why that was the plan originally, but happy with how it turned out. The only down side to that was losing Mr. Trick early. He was another great supporting character.
Has anyone noticed that Oz,Riley,Tara,Angel , and Cordelia has only spent like three seasons on the show until they die or until they leave to go somewhere else
I can't, I need to watch it again 😂. The thing about Buffy was it started being good, and ended up being a masterpiece. It just got better and better, and it was so awesome.
You're right, good catch! I just watched that episode the other day with my son who's 12 and he loved it! He was utterly baffled when the credits started rolling, lol.
I noticed 2 that were missing, both from series 4. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendan, Alyson Hannigan, James Marsters and Anthony Stewart Head. Also, the unique opening for S4 E17 "Superstar", with shots of Jonathon in the mix.
@@Cupcakelake38 I loved Willow&Tara as a couple,but I loved Willow&Oz as well...that's why each time I watch"New Moon Rising"I will forever be conflicted!!T^T Why couldn't they just be a happy OT3?!?
Season 3 was the one for me...that’s when I realised buffy was more important to me than my own family Thanks for the likes but some guys actually think I’m serious, was just saying how brilliant buffy was and how it took over my life, my family is obviously more important…buffy is still epic 🤣
my only complaint is i can’t believe they took the scream out of the theme song but other than that beat supernatural show ever love buffy and the Scooby gang
@@gildan958 Buffy fights all kinds of monsters, usually with brute force or published rituals/spells from the library. The charmed ones use and update their shadowy family archive and create new spells on the fly. Best opportunity was the Season 2 opening where Buffy fought Demons in the same city as the charmed ones.
There were plans at some point to include the first slayer on a page in the book of shadows, implying that the charmed ones and the slayer exist in the same universe, sadly it never happened
Personally I think she should've been in the credits since the beginning of Series 6, maybe even Series 5 (I'm watching them all again so I don't know if she was a big part in every episode) but in Series 4, she wasn't in every episode since Hush. (yes I know this is a year old, I couldn't help myself)
Poor Tara, she only got to be in the credits for one episode, the episode she dies in. Whedon always wanted to have a character die the day they make it to the credits. He wanted it to be Jenny Calendar but the execs wouldn't let him. Much as I loved Jenny, I wish it was her. I liked Tara's credits and she was in SOO many episodes I felt she deserved to be in them more regularly.
It does make me wonder if they knew from the start that Tara was going to be killed off? Or maybe it was just that it took her a couple of seasons to become estblished. She was quite a big part of the show from S5 so guess it would have been nice if she was in the credits from then.
I was so obsessed with this when I was 13, TV program cut it off at 5th season, imagine the pain I was going through by the end of the season not knowing there were more seasons until I completely re-watched this year. Always a banger.
Buffy was streaming on Netflix in the early days of Netflix streaming. Since then, it’s pretty much always been streaming somewhere. And even before streaming, those Buffy and Angel DVDs used to be sold EVERYWHERE. Unlike a lot of other shows, there’s really never been a point in time when Buffy was hard to watch
I find the remastered version of the theme song to be almost symbolic?? (Regardless of what the reason was) Season 3 onward was definitely when the show found most of its footing (not that it was ever off). But the Seasons 1-2 theme is so wonderfully jarring and 90s - an homage to a beginning legacy.
Nah I think Season 7 was the worst by far. All the episodes seemed to merge together in my head and it was very repetitive- but that's just my opinion.
Am I the only who likes the music in Season 1 & 2. This may be an unpopular opinion. I don't know if the first couple of themes are more nostalgic for me but I've always slightly preferred them. SLIGHTLY. The other theme still rocks.
i think it's because seasons 1 and 2 had the howling in the beginning of the intro then the rest of the series, it was simply just the music with no sound effects
@@buffycatnip no its not the same. Every season you can tell that the music is a little different. Especially the first 2 seasons it's very noticeable and I'm not talking about the scream and howling
I started watching this with my adult cousin and my sister back in sophmore year, (im 25 so i didnt watch it live lol). I used to see glimpses of it a kid but all she had was a scratched up box set of season 3. I fell in love with this show so for me season 3 will always have the best opening.
Ah yes, season 7. When Xander finally went full comic relief side character. The other season gave him at least ONE badass clip, and the early ones even gave him a couple.
Ok so after listening to every season opening theme songs back to back with this video, I can tell with a definitive answer that my absolute favourite version of the song is the Season 2! It's like a remastered version of the 1st, before they did all the major changes like the removal of Willow's scream, the two higher notes before the lower instead of 1 higher and 2 lower at the end (makes a big difference for me!), and the drums being less complex overall. I mean you cannot remove that haunting scream, it's so iconic! God I love this show ❤
This is still my most favourite series of all time, i remember back in the day when I used to even take my daily outfit ideas and hairstyles from the series, when I started college a few years back i even re-watched amd even though i know what happens but I'm still so immersed with each episode that it even made me bring out my old ps2 and play the game version ffs 😂🙏🏻💕
did anyone else feel annoyed that Alyson Hannigan ended up coming last in the credits! lol it just irritated me I was use to her always being the third face I see 😂
The "and [insert name here]" is a good thing. It's given to people who get a raise on tv shows. Alyson became quite popular at that time due to her movie career, it makes sense for them to give her that slot.
I'm such a softie for this show. Any things I disliked aside, it's still one of the better shows out there. Buffy rules. Was a huge Spike and Angel fan myself.
You missed a short window in Season 4, which had Spike but no Riley (episodes 7-9). Great fun to watch. Including Tara for the first time in the episode they killed her was just cruel.
I feel so sorry about Amber Benson that finally got her first and last opening sequence that she did not deserve that, she deserves for all season 4, 5, musical & 6
What a kick ass intro, I found myself watching season 1 a couple of weeks ago and I really forgot how big this show was for me growing up...that was until i heard the intro... in a weird way it makes me sad, wish i could go back.
I'm pretty sure there was an episode in season 3 or 4, where the cast was under a spell to worship Jonathan - even the opening was changed for that episode, but i've never seen it on youtube :/
I wish the kept the bit with the monkey in the bronze, Xander music stand impalement and the last few seconds of the season three one with the camera panning around buffy holding the battleaxe as she gets her shit together in hell prison for every intro after introduced. Glad Spike flipping the bird while tied stayed to the end.
That's odd, a lot of inspiration of Buffy's Lore came from the mythology of Christian beliefs. they should be proud instead. Seriously, what is it with religious people being so easily offended?
Being introduced last with “and” is not a negative bro...its showcasing that Alyson is the second most important talent in the cast during those seasons
The “And” credit is highly sought after, it’s usually for the most recognizable/important actor in the show who’s not the lead. Anthony Head likely got that first due to his appearances in a series of Tasters Choice commercials, and when he left Alyson got it likely due to her role in the American Pie movies. Getting that credit is actually a huge honor.
Hey! The first and last people in the credits are usually the most famous/well known people in the show, and Giles wasn’t on it as much anymore so they moved Alyson to the end.
@@staryellos yh true lemme think of an example okay so Just go With It So it's like Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Brooklyn Decker and Nicole Kidman (she is really famous buy Jen is probs mpre)
And I'll never forget having James stand between my legs... Ok that was deliberately dirtier than the reality. But I did meet him and I freaked out when he stepped backwards and pretty much ended up between my knees.... (I was sitting on a barstool)
