Nevera is just faster then any Egg to 300 kph and from 300 to 400 Eggs have upper hand but porbably only in cooler conditions and even then they wouldnt catch and pass the Nevera in a 2 mile race. When carwow drag raced chiron ss against the model s plaid;chiron ss was going 208 mph in ½ mile but this chiron only had 193 mph in ½ mile,i think they just didnt fill the tank of the chiron with 98 octane for full 1600 ps,because chiron only makes 1600 ps if you put 98 octane fuel in it,i assume its 95 octane,acceleration and trap speeds tells you whats going on

Did it 3 years ago already with Matt from carwow! I think the best nevera 1/4mile pass so far is an 8.4. Of course the mcmurty speirling ev has also already done multiple 7.9s when limited to 150mph so it should go faster in the pure trim with 200mph top end unlocked. Maybe 7.7@175+mph or quicker when it enters production later this year.👍🏻😎
I think the SS was really struggling due to weather. I think it was too hot and humid and the car just could not generate its top power level. It was really struggling that was very clear. The launch for example. Barely managing 0-60 in under 3 seconds is slow for a Bug especially an SS. As you say the top end was really laggy. Compare the way it was picking up speed post 200mph to something like a Koenigsegg Area or Regera. They really needed to do the race in cooler temps and lower humidity but I appreciate them doing the race it was awesome to watch.
Also have to keep in mind buggatti top speeds arent offical as they dont do bith ways and since there last issue with guiness they admit it cant do it top speed on the street. Only once tuned and only at the track(the Buggatti one not any track)
Yeah it wasn't even close, it turns out. The Rimac was still traveling 10 mph faster than the Bugatti at the 2 mile mark. The Bugatti would eventually start reeling the Rimac in, but it'd probably take 4 miles before it actually passed it. At the 2 mile mark it was still losing ground to the Rimac. At 3 miles it would be traveling faster as the Rimac tops out at 250, but then it would need at least another mile to catch up and pass it. Insane how fast that Rimac is.
I never thought in million years that I would see a Bugatti Chiron look like it's a Honda Civic racing a Corvette. Magnificent machinery in both of these vehicles and anyone would be lucky to have any one of them let alone both. This is my first time hearing about the Nevera Rimac. What have I been doing living under a rock
That Rimac was lightening fast. You have to see it to believe it. The race was amazing. I never expected the Bugatti to get beat that bad in the 2 mile race.
@@Zeil_tha_dragongood launch on a cold day. The nevera is supposed to go 1.7 to 60 but only managed 2.2 here. Both cars were slower but the nevera was literally faster in every metric from 0-60 to 1 mile. The Chiron did well on run 2 with a 4.2 60-130 and 155mph trap speed and was still seconds slower
A normal bugatti chiron reaches 250 mph in 32 seconds yet the chiron SS cant reach 240mph in 40 seconds? theres something definetley wrong with that chiron

It's so typical of Bugatti to release spec / performance based on simulated data... 🤡They kill the industry with their fantasy numbers 👎🏼 which they later can't back up in reality.
Now they need to show the Rimac Nevera vs koenigsegg jesko though I know the 0-400kph on the jesko is nearly 3 seconds faster but it would still be cool to see it making up all that ground from the 2 wheel drive start to pass it like it's barely moving.
It can’t compete with the AWD Rimac with it’s way more sophisticated electronics in an acceleration contest on a un prepped surface. It was also very hot out there which makes getting the Chiron to hook even harder. Lastly the Chiron would have caught and passed the Rimac had they had another mile or two. But in this test under these circumstances the Rimac clearly was superior.
The jesko 0-400kph is 2.5 seconds quicker than the Rimac but probably doesn't pass the Rimac till 300 being 2 wheel drive. the gemera would be more interesting.
I get confused each time i see people getting impressed by an electric car beating a combustion engine car i mean an electric car gets all of its power at once … those two must not be racing each other at all however if a gasoline engine beats an electric car with all of its advantages well thats impressive
I don't think the SS had its top speed key inserted. Because the SS is limited to about 250/255 mph without the top speed key. Whereas with the top speed key it can go to 277 mph.
It would be interesting to see the Jesko Absolut. At 18.82 seconds: Nevera did 229mph, Chiron did 209mph, Absolut did 248mph. With a long enough straight, the Absolut would crush them both and make up for that RWD disadvantage.
one of my Favorite videos of the year! i was super surprised how slow the chiron was accelerating after 220mph.. you would never catch a Koenigsegg doing that
@@derekmaxwell8164 The problem is if you actually race them side by side (something Koenigsegg are always scared of doing) as the Chiron did it's way behind as the Chiron was, even though it was eventually going faster, the Jesko will not look good going faster when the race is long over
The reality is that there was no speed key and limiter kicked in at 210 already hence slower acceleration at upper end and not going above 237 . You think Chiron ss is slower than a 2005 veyron? 😂 hope they put some reality by destroying a koenigsegg on the same runway by nevera.
@@InvinciblecarguyChiron SS is almost brand new, New Michelin tiew, not even that hot (81 degrees) and driven by a professional driver. And used the speed key, What more could you ask for?

You shouldn’t act biased you know how ss performed a gf ain’t a nevera in 1/4 mile and how ss is much closer to nevera from dig than any koenigseggs
@@Invinciblecarguy driver was only going 70% throttle and maybe oil was bad too and winds were supersonic in opposite direction in bugatti's lane or maybe it's just camera fault it couldn't see that bug was clearly ahead, itherwise no bug can lose

But just for perspective the fastest street 60-130mph dragy pass is 2.2s from a 2400whp ugr tt huracan sto. Here the Rimac did 3.1 and the bug did 4.2. At the drag strip 6 and 7 second cars get into the 1.xx range and funny cars/pro mods do
There is a vid of a base Chiron doing a 1 mile at 220mph how is a SS only doing 222mph? This cars not fully healthy i think, rimac would win but not by this much.
Are you taking into consideration that a petrol car will not perform in the exact same way every time like an electric does, right? And go ahead, tell Bugatti to replace their test driver. For sure you are better judging than their whole team. This same scenario can count for a video of the Dodge Demon trying to beat the Lucid Air Sapphire from Hagerty. They had to try and try and try to get the numbers Dodge claimed, but it just got beaten hard., like the Chiron in the video. Even under the perfect numbers, Chiron would still lose.

The Bugatti simply represents the max combustion engine potency as against the electric Rimac. It seems the challenge to put down the power on the road is more in the former, let alone the latter. Let's hope the Tourbillion does wonders. Crazy to think that a 9.6 second quarter mile car is slow here lol. Both are pioneer examples of what can be done flat out in cars 💯🔥
No, not even close. Bugatti does not represent the pinnacle of ICE, as you stated. Maybe in terms of stock cars it is a top 5 car, but it is not even top ICE. The Jesko Absolut would destroy the both of them. Also, check out something like a Calvo Viper, AMS GTR, or UGR Lambo would destroy the Rimac
@koshanm-jw5jo I believe the Koenigsegg Regera 0 to its topspeed of 250mph would be quicker than the chiron ss on a roll because of its weight differences. That depends on the launch of the Chiron ss because of its awd. But, the chiron would pull past reaching its limited topspeed of 273mph.
@tiersofemotion222 If the runway is long enough the Chiron would pull away, but here you can see the Chiron is only pulling 0.1 and sometimes even 0.0 Gs at around 230 mph+
Boring both Gtr or lambo cremates these cars remember both average 7.9sec 1/4 miles the rimac was in the 8s here and bugatti at way back at 9.6sec so the same difference would happen just with the Gtr or lambo outfront.
@@muxiku the gemera at an alleged 2,300hp with awd 3 electric motors TT v8 on meth and weighing less while costing more could maybe give the nevera a good seeing to. Gemera and nevera kinda go nicely together to! 😀
Fully built lambo or gtr with 1800-2000whp would murder it honestly. The nevera here did 60-130 and 100-150 in 3.1 and 3.0 respectively. A gtr and huracan like that does
Not ideal conditions for the Chiron at all. You rarely see the Bugatti spinning all 4 wheels and then it struggled to push 240 in the second run when it usually rushes past 260ish before it hits a wall. Weird race but still a good matchup

I was expecting the Nevera to not stand a chance in the 2 mile race but that Chiron is way slower than it should be. It's topping out at 238 when it should be 300+
Dude the test track they do those runs is way longer than the 2 miles they did here. Not to mention 300+ was done by a pre production prototype, the real street car only goes 273mph.

@@matmul4850there is a vid of the old chiron doing a 1mile run at 220mph this SS model did 222mph and struggled past 230mph vs that same base chiron going up to 260mph easy at johny bohmers provings grounds so yup something was up with this chiron SS for real. I feel it still wouldve lost just not this badly.
Great video!! One suggestion I would make was the stats shown in the last race should have displayed in the same order. One vehicle would show the 1/8 mile time and the same row on the other vehicle would be 0-130 time. Makes it hard to compare stats
Wow that Nevera is insane but really makes me realize how insane modified cars have become. Lambo Assassin's GT-R did 100-200mph in the low-mid 3's, that's like bus lengths ahead in this lineup. Granted it has at least 1000hp more than this but still, what a time to be alive for car people.
New tourbillon might stand a chance cause it's got similar torque figures with slightly higher tops speed, however new Nevera R is even faster in acceleration than basic model... 186 mph in 8.66 sec
Very cool that you put this together. Can wait for the winner against KOenigsegg Gemera. The V8 version seems most suitable to the standing mile although the inline-3 might just beat Chiron still. Lighter, lots of hybrid, 1400 hp peak...yeah I think that would be a race.
