an original 1929 Bugatti 35B (Supercharged), restored, engine replaced and original kept safe from potential damage. in its original colour scheme representing the United States racing team colours / supercar_collector
Those pre-war Bugattis are not made to sit still and be stared at (though they do that well), they're made to scream and tear the asphalt apart. Beautiful car! God i love the sound of those gears
well said! cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed fully! hope you find something else on the Channel you like, we drive all our cours with adrenaline😋
It really doesn't like idling along, on the few careful moments it starts being pushed, all the jerkyness disappears and it wants to run! There was still one of these being race in 'Regularity' series here a decade ago, and it was always fast.
In the classic car world, it always falls upon the buyer to verify all the information supplied by the previous owner. Never take anything on face value, especially with a 90+ year-old car. Owners sometimes just repeat the info they were given. Not referencing this car specifically, but always verify claims of originality. Even major auction houses have gotten it wrong.
I can not disagree with that, I did not buy the car, it is a friends car and that was what he told us. all I can say without a doubt it this, that car is just as fun as a modern supercar, its got some nice power, the sound is mega, gets a bit hot at your feet but far from unbearable, probably the most fun I ever had as a passenger and a moment I will never forget. sensational car and im looking for one too now to race in historic races. trouble is a big collector I know said Bugattis were already modified back in the day, fully original cars are very very hard to find, and if you have one its not worth driving and breaking the parts. so im still hesitating between fully original or fully restored with the original parts in a crate
That Bugatti type 35B is actually a copy a real beautiful copy built by a car company in Argentina! The vehicles cost little over US$250,000 The owners can customize the vehicle having certain stuff put onto it but those vehicles are all handbuilt by artisans in Argentina because there is only a handful of authentic type 35Bs around and at a value between one . one and six million dollars you’re not gonna be whipping around that kind of money on a public road unless you wanna wreck the car!
Hello! The owner has explained the car was an original chassis, that was restored, the original engine has been taken out and is kept safe, the current engine is a rebuild to the same standards, the big difference is a modern battery to start the car. this specific car was run by the North American racing team of the day with quite some extensive history. in simple terms real restored chassis new body new drivetrain and power unit. that being said the car is still worth well north of 1 million euros, lastly he wasn't driving like a madman either, no real risk especially in such a quiet area. glad you enjoyed the video!
Having an old car like this sitting still in storage or display is one of THE worst things you can so do a car, they need to breath and be driven, you don't have to go mad but they must move occasionally to preserve them properly. If you are worried about others there are track days to go on, or a hill climb.
you do know it is a power slide when your lose grip by overpowering the wheels? its a drift when you slide the car through a corner, just enjoy the video😉
